Herb Chambers in Seekonk, MA advertises $208 a month plus fees and tax. That seems to be close to the deal you got. Also, Boch Honda in Norwood, MA seemed to be willing to match the Herb Chambers deal. But, I didn't care for Boch salespeople and so went with Herb Chambers. Hope this helps. Good luck.
November lease terms for Pilot EX 4WD
by djalbe on Fri Nov 13 18:51:08 PST 2009
Well, here's what I can tell ya from a colleague at the Honda store. 2010 Pilot EX MSRP $33,055 Purchase price $29,759 MF .00197 Honda Super Preferred Credit 36mo/12k -yr (55% residual) $1,000 out of pocket ........$460/mo w/ MA tax So, unless Honda plans on coming out with dealer cash or other incentive money for December, OR, an even lower money factor, mid $400's is as good as it will get for an EX with short money out of pocket. @ hjh22 EX-L is 53% residual Oh, and the lease on that was $515/mo, same terms as my EX deal. $50/mo for the model bump seems too much for me. @ dman72 2010 Pilot Touring w/ NAV MSRP $40,355 Your price is $36,000 Sounds like you gotcha self a pretty good purchase price. Not sure about the availability of Taffeta white but when I worked at Acura, we also offered the MDX in Taffeta, the often-referred-to-as "REFRIGERATOR WHITE". I wrote a deal with a customer on that very color only to have them ask me 2 days after delivery to exchange it for the Pearl White. They said they had made a mistake. They were really nice peeps so I got a favor done with another dealer, and 2 customer referrals in about 2 weeks for my trouble. Just remember it's not a metallic paint (which I believe is available at NO-charge), and not the most desirable color when it comes to trade or resell; much like black can be. Just thought I'd point that out but I know some people are attracted to white, I gotta have white. They might not want to stretch to find ANY other color than what they have since they may be offering you a NOTHIN deal (damn near zero profit) at $4300 off. It does take time and cost money and effort to swap cars, do paperwork, cut checks, process titles, pay drivers, and cross your fingers the car comes in without damage. TRUST ME... I've had it happen several times. The ONLY car in the region in blue comes in with 2 nice stone chips on the hood and the customer's cryin about it. "OK, well this is the ONLY one, so wanna take the red or black one instead ?" It can turn into a cluster you know what for all parties and then everyone involved gets twisted over it. Unavoidable sometimes ! As for online availability, few dealer websites are 90% up to date but they don't do it manually. The websites pull it from their DMS accounting systems automatically, usually once per day. But the car they sell today may remain on there for another 2,3, even 7 days before it comes off. Depends on how quickly the back office COMPLETELY processes deals. More info than you really need to know but there may be some legitimacy to their claim of calling around without any luck. Have you tried nailing down that exact car with much luck ? If you've confirmed it available somewhere, ask the other dealer to match the deal. I didn't pass up too many deals that I could write in 5 seconds. Also, I asked about a 48 month lease but there are NO SPECIAL lease MF at 48, and probably not 51 mo either. Please confirm that for yourself, however. If I recall correctly, 48 mo may have yielded a higher payment than the 36 mo. OK... too much talkin. I'm done. Hope the info helps, let me know if I can answer any other questions. -DJ

OMG, you guys are right!! I decided to bite the bullet and flat out (but politely) told them what my lowest offer was and what they could do about it. I was worry that they wouldn't want to negotiate through emails, but so far it looks like one of the dealership is trying. Either way, I feel better knowing that I tried at least. Phew! I was even begging the ladies at my work place to borrow their husband or boyfriend to go in with me!! :P I'll let you guys know how it goes. Again, I'm very appreciative of the responses so far! Thanks!

You can negotiate by E_Mail (some people are to busy to deal with salesperson for an hour or two) Plus if they don't give you the price you want, it's a waste of time. If you can keep the OUT THE DOOR PRICE under 27K for the E XL that sounds pretty good from what I have seen.. Good Luck (remember the dealer is not your friend) he is what the title implies DEALER... keep us updated

2010 Accord LX - $145 + state tax per month for 36 months 12k miles per year Initial down 1999, 299 doc fee, 595 acq. fee, 125 tax+registration Here's the breakdown of that deal... $1999/36 (months) = $55.52 a month more if no money was put down. Thus making the payment $200.52 before tax. I know that he said that he leased it in MA. Honda Village in Newton MA is advertising a 2010 LX for $179+tax with $599 down plus fees due at signing. All the fees are the same as compared to the above quoted lease with the one exception being that Honda Village makes you pay the "destination charge" at signing (which is BS and possibly not even legal, but is besides the point for the sake of this comparison). Dest. is $710. $710/36months = $19.72 more per month (if rolled in to payment as opposed to being paid upfront). $599/36months = $16.64 more per month (again, if rolled in to payment as opposed to being paid upfront). Therefore, if the "destination fee" was rolled into the payment, and $0 was put down as opposed to the $599, you would be looking at a monthly payment before tax of $215.36. The extra $15.36 a month over the 36 month lease totals about $553. I would assume Honda Village is not advertising their Accord lease (which they specifically say they have 10 available at that price) at dealer invoice, though i may be wrong. Thus, it would make sense that they might be advertising at about $500 over invoice, in which case, the quoted lease above, which everyone seems to think is impossible, actually seems quite possible. Let me know if you think I am wrong. My fiance and I will actually be going there tomorrow to lease her a new Accord LX, and i will let you all know if this happens to be the case or not.
Re: 2010 Accord Coupe Auto EX [postmortem]
by jpelletier on Mon Nov 09 12:05:47 PST 2009
I'm reading backward as I decide what to do with my 2007 EX-L V6 lease set to expire soon. I need to comment about the I4 VS. the V6 and I must say there is a HUGE difference in the MPG - at least in the 2007 model. I want to say since I've had the car I've gotten only in the vicinity of 20 MPG whereas my inlaws with the exact same vehicle but the I4 average in the high 20s to low 30s. The needle moves so quickly from full:( So...I need to decide whether I buy my 07 at $16.2k (just under the 36k miles) or just buy a new I4 as leasing is not in the cards this time. The V6 power and especially the suspension is nice but not worth the extra $$$ spent on gas. I think if I were to figure it over the long run, say 10 years, they would even out in price. If anyone has any comments or suggestions I would love to hear them! I also would love to hear recent prices in the MA/RI area for EX-L I4s.
