Speaking of holdback, I certainly will not attest to the validity of whatever numbers are thrown about... But one sales guy I spoke to calculated holdback as 3% of the $30,895 MSRP, which was $926.85. Based on that number, he said that my lowest quote of $27,300 (including dest+proc fees) would result in a profit of about $300, and STILL didn't want to sell me the car based on that! He wanted to charge me dealer invoice, which according to him would give the dealership a profit of closer to $1000. In other related matters, he also said he wouldn't budge from this number because he knew he was the only dealership in the state that had the color I wanted, so needless to say I did not go with him. On top of that, he refused to give me the VIN and mileage on the car when requested, and I found out later from another dealer that the specific car had a damage disclosure on it. So with that said, I would also recommend not dealing with anyone at Heritage Honda in Parkville, MD with the initials GH.

lyndamd--- Thanks for the input. Parkville, MD is about 2 hours from where I will, but I will consider it, but apparently Glacier Metallic Blue is out of stock in my area unless I drive at least 1.5 hours in any direction. May consider, but dad not keen on going that far incase in the future there's issues with the car and it needs to be brought back to dealership. :)

Hello, You might want to take a look at "Honda CRV prices paid" and posts # 5454, 5433, 5093, 5082. You will get a lot better deal with these Maryland Honda dealers than any Virginia dealer. For one thing, Maryland has a state law capping the processing fee at $100 where most Virginia dealers charge $399, a $300 savings even before you make the call! I live in Virginia Beach and drove to Parkville Md. to save $1400, took a day of my time but I don't make $1400 a day either, so I made out. I purchased a 2007 CRV in June and completed all the details on the phone, spent 45 minutes at the dealer signing papers and back to Virginia Beach. Might be worth a call, what do you have to loose? Good Luck.

I worked with Chuck Tracy from Internet Sales; but I found out that Heritage gives sales guys no room for cutting prices. Another post on this board from a while ago also confirmed that. So you could pretty much talk to anyone there. Here is their contact information: Heritage Honda 9213 Harford Rd Parkville, MD 21234 http://www.HeritageHonda.net CTracy@mileone.com
Bought CR-V EX AWD from Heritage Honda on 4/29/07

I bought a Silver CR-V EX AWD from Heritage Honda, Parkville, MD. Price details: $24,245 on the road; VA sales tax included; Accessories: wheel locks, splash guards and pin striping Thanks to this board, I discovered Heritage Honda. I live in northern virginia; but the 70 mile trip north was very much worth it; the next lowest quote that I got from a Virginia dealer at the time was about $900 more than what I paid. There is one very small issue that I discovered with the car, afterwards. The tailgate latch system makes a clicking noise, just by the touch of it, regardless of whether the door is in open or locked position. The dealer politely asked me to take the vehicle to the nearest Honda dealer and have them take a look at it. Since the issue doesn't really bother a whole lot, I will probably wait until I take the car in a few months, for the first oil change. It is a fun car to drive around town for sure!
