I compared prices across about 15 dealers in south central KY (Lexington, Richmond, Somerset, etc) and eastern TN (Knoxville, Chattanooga, etc). Ultimately, I ended up purchasing from West Side Honda in Knoxville. Not only did they have the best price, but their service was great as well. Internet Sales Manager was easy to deal with and very straight forward. Here is the deal I got. On June 30 34100.50 - Vehicle(incl 595 dest charge) 1310.00 - Honda Care(6yr 120,000miles, $0 deductible) 299.00 - Tire & Wheel Protection(5yr) 399.50 - Doc prep(T&L) 2417.94 - Tax 5.50 - TN fee for some BS like battery or tire --------- 38532.44 - OTD (incl protection package, cargo tray, wheel locks, mud flaps, pin stripe) Good luck, Ed

As a matter of fact, our Ody's shared the ride from Canada to Somerset, KY. Same dates, same price, same driver (Lonnie is pretty cool), same great experience with Tracy and Barry. I highly recommend them. The only differences are that I got Granite Green and the HondaCare 7/100/0 (for $875). Oh, and I drove home 1100 miles to MA. Consider mine broken in. It was worth it to me to save the $1500, have a definite delivery date so I could sell our old car (waiting lists are too iffy) for $1600 more than trade-in, and I really needed some time off, so the ride home was a welcome relaxing experience. The scenery was beautiful this time of year, and Kentucky is pretty close to picture-perfect. None of the problems mentioned in the forums, the Ody is great! I just had to wash all the bug splats off the front - luckily they don't grow 'em that big around here. The only complaints I have about the minivan is of course the sound system - Honda should be embarassed, I think the AM radio in my '76 Chevette sounded better, and the front driver's side of the floormat that doesn't cover all of the floor - what were they thinking? Ride, noise, fit and finish, and performance were all fine. Now it's time for the accessories...

I'm also in St. Louis and I guess I'll compare your Somerset Honda price to what I can find locally. I have a 1998 Nissan Quest, though, that I wanted to trade in. I also wanted to do a bit of interest rate shopping. I guess maybe it's worth a call to the Ky dealer to see about a trade in price, etc. Thanks again for the lead.
