Base price - 21,460 Dealer installed options - 10 Doc Fee - 55 Sales Tax (IL) - 1,345 City Tax (Bloomington, IL)- 107 State License and Title - 143 TOTAL - 23,121 (Out the Door) This is the best price i have seen from this city. One of my colleague did all the quote requests from all around chicago and got this price from bloomington, il. All I had to do is show my friends buyers order and got this price. He was reluctant to give at that price but after showing the proof of previous sale, he had no option. If any of you want to get the same deal, let me know. I can give you details.

Dont buy Honda in Peoria IL..you can get better deal in chicago area: by nbuyer on Sun Apr 02 19:45:11 PDT 2006; Guys if you go to chicago suburb to buy your new honda you can save upto $1100. I saved $1100. Peoria honda dealer does not compromise with the price. They say the invoice price is the dead invoice price..they cannot go below that. So if anyone live in peoria/ bloomington area go to chicago area to get better deal. Saving $1000 worth the 200 miles driving.

My wife and I have been car shopping for about 7 weeks and after checking out a Pilot last Saturday and test driving on Monday, she decided she really wanted one. Unfortunately, the dealer in Bloomington IL can sell at MSRP and won't negotiate at all. So I had to call the Chicago dealers to check out prices. Over the past 3 days, here's what I've gathered... Community Honda wanted 29,500 but price matched 29,100 Honda of Lisle $1200 over invoice Schaumburg Honda $29760 Grand Honda $29100 Jacobs Twin $29229 Joliet Honda $1000 over invoice Then I found this thread and learned about two other dealers with good quotes: Windy City $700 over invoice Carr's Invoice straight up We have an appointment on Friday to go buy at Carr's, I'll let everyone know how it goes. No one in Chicago will go near Carr's quote, and frankly several sounded disgusted that I'd even ask them something like "match near invoice". Also, the others have mentioned "bait and switch" and loaded up on accessories, but I'm ready to walk if something like that occurs. I'm real eager for Friday to get here to find out what's really going on... I really hope that Anna is not a fictitious character and her experience was real; I guess I'm just too much of a pessimist... ;)
