Civic LX (AT) in Chicagoland: by drwatson on Sat Mar 22 19:57:02 PDT 2008; Instead of walking in the dealer, I went through the Internet/Request Quote. - The price I was given was $16,629, which includes destination fee already. - To the above price I only needed to add the usual tax/title/etc. - Sales tax were 6.5% (I was told sales tax in IL will go up to 7% April 1st - I don't know if that is true). - Out of the door price: $18,138 - Finance rate for 60 mos. was 3.9% (again, they told me that rate is going away very soon). No money down was required. Maybe I could get a better price if I shopped around a little more, but I feel that I got a decent deal and a very straight forward experience. I got the car at Rosen Honda of Gurnee and I have no complaints about the service, considering it was a busy Saturday after a snowstorm.

I got prices I did not see in any other area dealer.
