The finance dept. tried to tack on some extended warranty ($1800) without even asking us. We did not want it since Geico has the same warranty ($250). The finance dept. initially gave us a 5.99% APR. It ended up to be 5.49% since we put down a chunk of dinero. They failed to know that. They had to check their books to verify.

I got mine at the Ed Voyles in Marietta, GA. I ended up paying $400 over dealer invoice - $14500 including destination charges. The county also had a lower tax rate than a few other dealers I looked at. I found I found an ad online at another dealer and used that ad to get the price I wanted. It's the base model, which I wanted as it has better gas mileage. Afterwards, we had the windows tinted which helps ALOT with the amount of sun that comes in through all those windows. We found the floor mats, the cargo cover and the cargo tray online for less than the dealer wanted to charge. We plan on adding the keyless entry as well as it's less expensive than the dealer...

I have not posted before, but have been following the forums for some time. Because of the information you provided, I brought home a new Slate Green on Gray EX, no leather, for 23798.63 +TTL (7% sales tax in my county) = 25486.54 OTD. After seeing some of the awesome, below-invoice deals, on the EX-L that some have posted, I thought I would drop some inquiries on my local Honda dealer sites offering 23,300 + TTL on an EX (no leather) to see who would bite. I received and email (not a phone call, in accordance to my online request) from a nice british salesman R. W. ( http://edvoyleshonda.com/Department-Internet.aspx for his full name) of Ed Voyle Honda in Marietta, GA within a few hours saying that the 23,324 including destination but not doc fees was doable. I called him in the afternoon to confirm he had an EX with gray interior in a light color and he confirmed he would hold the keys to the last slate green '07 till I got there. I asked him the doc fees and he quoated a reasonable $498. I say reasonable because the total cost before TTL was 23,822, which is $303 below invoice and including the $2500 factory-to-dealer incentive. He calculated my OTD price right over the phone. We arrived and did the requisite drive with my wife. My wait for finance was 15-20 minutes. I spent all of 15 minutes with Nestor the finance manager who took OFF another $24 because I did not need to pay an emissions charge and the Ody was ready to go with a full tank of gas within 2 hours of the time I first arrived at the dealership. I could have been done sooner, but left to visit a nearby CarMax to get an estimate on selling my Camry outright (left because the wait was too long). I imagine I could have bickered for a few more dollars, but I have no problem with a great dealer keeping a little of the holdback to stay in business, Richard getting his $100 minimum deal, a few dollars for the finance and prep guys. They still have plenty of '07 EX-Ls and Tourings. If you go, tell RW that Inzune referred you and he promised me $100 referral fee! (They sure make that $498 doc go a long way!) My wife and I picked up our beautiful 2006 AWD EX-L with Nav yesterday. First, I want to thank all for their comments and discussion on this board. I find most internet message boards full of fools and morons, but the Edmunds board and their intelligent discussion always pleases me. Anyway, we paid 29,067 for the Pilot. I think we got a great deal. The dealership (Ed Voyles in Marietta, GA) was fantastic and fist class all the way. And this is coming from a guy who owns an Infiniti! They did a great job on my trade-in value. The key to the Pilot is, my wife and I were set on the Desert Sand. And our dealer did a bang up job of finding one and getting to us in great shape and very quickly. All in all, I am very impressed with both the car and the buying process. Now, let me get back to reading this Nav manual, this thing has more options than a swiss army knife!
