New Buyer
by mwest75 on Thu Apr 10 10:01:02 PDT 2008
Hi folks, I'm a prospective new buyer. My wife and I are seriously looking into the Pilot as a replacement for her '03 convertible Mustang. I'm learning a good bit from all of the previous posts but also it raises a few questions. First some basics: I live north of Atlanta, GA. I've used the internet/email method to purchase an '05 Accord in late '04 so I'm relatively experienced with this process. Closed that deal with Hennessey in Woodstock. Currently looking at Pilot EX-L AWD w/RES. Has anyone from my general area had any recent experience that they might be able to share with me? I'm not great with face to face negotiations but I imagine that the marketing support $2500/$3500 or even $4500 is only available in the dealership correct? Additionally, there has been some debate about whether the below invoice amount is still available when the APR deal is given. Is this correct or can one still get the $3500 & 2.9% APR? Any kind of specifics (#'s wise) that any of you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks ahead of time for any replies both in my area or not! ;)

Try Hennessy in Woodstock, GA. The priced my lease Pilot down into hold back. You should also post over in the Pilot prices paid forum , since this is the Pilot LEASE forum fewer folks will be buying Pilots that view this forum. Dennis
Prices in the SE for Accord I4 LX AT and LX-P AT
by dwynne on Sun Jan 27 20:14:45 PST 2008
Hennessy Honda in Woodstock, GA quoted me $19,970 for the I4LX AT and $20,870 for the I4 LX-P AT. These prices include the Accord sedan, destination, and dealer fee (and $3 for GA lemon law). Invoice on the LX AT is $19,815 and is $20,719 so these are both a little under invoice INCLUDING the dealer fee. My wife and I picked up a new Pilot from Hennessy last week and someone had asked for for LX and LX-P prices so I thought I would post them here too. Their Internet folks usually have very aggressive pricing, and the actual amount in relation to invoice varies with the engine, trim line, and the inventory of the car you are interested in. Dennis
My 2008 VP 2WD Pilot deal
by dwynne on Wed Jan 23 12:05:33 PST 2008
I posted this in the Pilot lease forum as well, since we did the cheap (0.33%) AHFC lease, but I will leave out the lease details here. My wife and I picked up her new Pilot from Hennessy Honda in Woodstock, GA on Monday. Our deal was for the 2WD VP (in mocha metallic with saddle cloth, if it matters) for $23,923 including destination, plus dealer fee for a total of $24,397 for the Pilot, destination, and fee. Invoice is shown as $25,630 so we paid $1,233 under invoice INCLUDING the dealer fees. Note that the MSRP is/was $29,030 but the actual window sticker may show $28,230 with the $800 "special value package discount". AHFC uses the $29,030 to figure the residual and NOT the actual window sticker MSRP on the bottom line. That makes it that much cheaper . The promo lease on the Honda web page calls for a selling price of $25,079.09 plus whatever the dealer charges for doc and prep fees. My local dealers would honor the promo price but would not come off of it at all - and they charge $400 or so in doc fees, so our $24,397 was nearly $1,100 cheaper than any other deal. Well worth the drive to get the Pilot from Hennessy. Everything was pre-approved and done before we got there, so we just inspected the new Pilot, test drove it, signed the papers, and were ready to go. Our salesperson went out of her way to go over EVERYTHING on the new Pilot with my wife - for sure the most thorough delivery I have ever seen. She even set the clock to our time zone and set up some of my wife's favorite XM channels. We got 23.4 mpg on the trip back home and that included some idling while we played with various things on the car. Not bad for an EPA rated 22 mpg SUV. We considered the 2WD EX model, but in the end the extras (power seat, auto climate control, fog lights, etc) just were not worth the nearly $2k higher price (at invoice). VP includes XM while it is extra cost on the EX as well. If you are not leasing, you could probably get a bit better of a price due to the dealer incentives. My wife loves her Pilot and is very happy, and if my wife is happy then I am too :D . Dennis
08 VPP 2WD Pilot Lease Deal
by dwynne on Wed Jan 23 11:54:37 PST 2008
My wife and I picked up her new Pilot from Hennessy Honda in Woodstock, GA on Monday. Our deal was for the 2WD VP (in mocha metallic with saddle cloth, if it matters) for $23,923 including destination, plus dealer fee and $595 lease acquisition fee = $24,992.00 for our lease cap cost. We paid the first payment and local taxes ($80) up front and using the 0.00014 MF (0.33%) and 49% residual for 15k miles per year ($14,224.70) our base payment is $304.58 and $325.90 including 7% state tax. Security deposit was waived since we were current AHFC lessees, otherwise you could bump the MF up by 0.0001 and avoid the deposit. That makes it that much cheaper :D . We considered the 2WD EX model, but in the end the extras (power seat, auto climate control, fog lights, etc) just were not worth the nearly $2k higher price (at invoice). Well actually, it would have been 51% of the nearly $2k price difference :D . VP includes XM while it is extra cost on the EX as well. My wife loves her Pilot and is very happy, and if my wife is happy then I am too :D. Dennis
Civic LX Sedan AT for $16,782
by dwynne on Wed Jan 16 12:22:38 PST 2008
Hennessy in Woodstock, GA quoted me $16,782 for an 08 Civic sedan LX AT. This includes their $389 prep fee. GA residents would pay additional registration and lemon law fees ($42 + $13???). Invoice is $16,984 so this is $202 under including dealer fees. Dennis
