Odyssey EX: Is $28,000 OTD a good deal now in NAtlanta/Alphretta/Buford GA?: by buyodyssey on Fri Aug 28 07:38:13 PDT 2009; It's 2009 Odyssey EX. No options. Need community support to decide if I go to the dealer today to buy... Living in N. Atlanta/Alpharetta/Cumming/Buford GA area. Tax 7% included in the $28,000 drive out price. Thanks in advance.

It is the best written internet buying advice I have found so far. I live in Alpharetta, GA. Just got an EX-L with DVD and Navigation today 9/3. Had earlier negotiated for a plain EX-L for 25,693 (incl destination) + TTL. But could not find the right interior color today. Got a demo for the Navigation and considered that too. Got a price of 29,293 (incl destination + splash guards, cargo tray) for EX-L + Nav + RES with the needed color - Slate Green with Olive interior. Basically caved in as I had not negotiated for it earlier (Misstep on your point 15). Also got an okay finance for 5.99% from Honda. The sales guy, Matt was very good at the Hennssey Honda dealership in Woodstock, GA, but did not budge from the quoted price. Also had to pay $65 for wheel locks. In retrospect, could have got a better deal, if I had not gone in, but negotiated online for price and accessories beforehand for this model. And BTW just noticed that the finance guy lowered the rates from 6.79% to 5.99% in 3 steps without clicking or checking anything. So I presume there is a lot of room there that I did not squeeze (the dealership was closed and it was already 6.30 p.m). Also took the 7 yr , 75,000 miles warranty for $1060. Final drive out price was $31,903 (with $1000 trade-in, 7% sales tax.). So from your mail it feels like I got $1000 more on the price and could have saved more on the finance (1% ~ $1000). Gotta live with it

Saturday I went to my local Honda Dealer in Atlanta (nearby) and they showed me the following lease: 1) 2193 due at signing. 2) 299 a month + tax. 3) only on the RT. 4) 36 mos. Guess what I drove off the lot.

I think your $323 is good....Honda is running a 249 special thats a 4 cyl and it's only 12K miles. So you've moved to a V6 and 15K miles for $74 a month....What's your cash up front? The Special has a LOT of up front cash....
