EXL price 26866.10 OTD: by southernhive on Wed Sep 24 18:59:54 PDT 2008; I finally purchased yesterday from Proctor Honda in Tallahassee, FL. After doing the email thing for a month I got a price close to what I wanted. I paid 25,000 + TTL. MSRP for this vehicle is 32,880. No crossbars, no wheel locks, I did not want to pay for them. My method was to email as many dealers in 150 miles as I could find. I emailed about 20 dealers. My requests were simple. Provide an OTD price for an EX-L, and do not call me, only correspond through email. Let them know that you WILL buy by the end of the month. When they called, I did not answer and I would wipe them off my list since they did not follow my instructions. I promised all the dealers that I would not share any price I received from other dealers. Most every dealer wanted to know my prices and in return they would meet or beat the price. I did not fall for this. Stick to this and one of the dealers will fall to the pressure and give you a good price. Some dealers will give you the "Internet price" that they give to everyone on the internet and they will tell you any price lower than there price will change once you get to the dealer. And it will so, once you get a price you like, then nail down the specifics by getting a faxed quote including the stock number and/or VIN number for the vehicle. Then call the dealer to verify financing trade-in and setup a time to purchase. Also, make sure you respond cordially to all emails. The dealers will come back again and again to see if you purchased. Keep the lines of communications open so long as they don't break the calling rule. Let the dealers know that once you get the right price, and never tell them your right price, you will buy. This method takes about a month and it works best at the end of the month.

Touring NW FL: by notchf15 on Thu Jul 03 20:33:41 PDT 2008; I an in NW FL and pricing a Touring from Tallahassee, Panama City, and Dallas (on vacation in a couple days). I have a quote from Freeman in Dallas for 37,000OTD with one of their enhancement packages. I saw the central FL OTD price of 36,500 or so. Am I in the ballpark? I am ready to purchase around the 8 Jul release of current incentives...roll the ball?

For those interested in a new '07: by dolfan1 on Thu Oct 25 16:12:15 PDT 2007; After 6 months of deliberation trying to decide what to do and checking the Accord forums daily, I am now the proud owner of my first Accord. Purchased an '07 SE V6 @ Prestige Honda in Thomasville, GA for $20093. Settled on that price to get me OTD @22K even. According to various posts in this forum, some have gotten deals on this car for about $500 less. I'm still satisfied because I got the only car I wanted. Problem is I waited too long. Checked numerous dealers within 200 mile radius of my north FL home and found just 2 of these vehicles left. Several posters have commented that there are still numerous '07's available, and while that's true if you research it out chances are you'll find most of them are EX's and EX-L's, in both 4 & 6 cyl. MSRP is 4K more for one of these for a leather interior, sun roof, heated seats and a few other little niceties, but the same engine, audio system, etc. For me, an all-out-bargain-get-the-most-bang-for-the-buck kind of guy, I wasn't interested in the EX line. The LX's and SE's are better bargains (IMO) and I believe that is why they were the first to disappear. I say all that for those who may be interested in a non-EX '07 model that if you really want one you'd better hurry. BTW, very good buying experience there in Thomasville. Everyone was pleasant and professional, would not hesitate to recommend this dealer.
