Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
Congratulations on your purchase and thank you for sharing your experience. Based on recent posts, it seems that good deals are available on all Odyssey models pretty much all over the country except for Florida and certain West Coast markets.
Just picked up my EX-L from Carbone Honda in YORKVILLE, NY 13495. I called 7-8 dealers in Mass & CT, Carbone beat them all. Some as much as $1700. They are located about 4 hours west of Boston. The salesperson was willing to meet half way but since there is a casino (turning-stone.com) in the area I decided to rent a car which is down the street from the dealership. Enjoy!!
I got my 2004 CR-V EX(5SPD)@ Fair Honda in Danbury,CT. Had to travel a little as I live in West Haven,CT, but it was worth it.(see #485).I also had dealers tell me they were not selling below MSRP and they sure didn't get my business. I'm sorry for the people who succumbed to their smug sales pitch. Shop around, arm yourself with useful information(dealer holdback is a nice start)and don't be afraid to walk away. Good luck.
I paid 27100 for an ex cloth at Sim Fryson in Ashland KY. This is just west of Huntington WV. Everything was done via fax until the actual delivery. I did put on Michelin Cross Terrains as new car take-offs. I would say they ride quieter and smoother that the Bridgestones that were OEM. Tirerack's survey rates the CT's very highly and I would concur. The ride is better that my old 2001 Intrepid with new Michelin X-Ones.
