Re: 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L [muellertime] by muellertime on Fri Aug 12 10:15:15 PDT 2011

FYI... went to pick up the car today for the deal listed above. Dealer sold to someone else, despite having taken my deposit. Cleaned out trade-in, removed keys from rings, arranged insurance, took day off, etc. This was at Liberty Honda Hartford, CT.

'11 Accord 4cyl EX-L Automatic Sedan Hartford, CT by muellertime on Thu Apr 14 07:52:34 PDT 2011

Bought an Accord yesterday as follows: $23,660.25 Car price including destination $469. Accessories (fog lights installed, 2 trunk hooks installed, trunk mat) $300 doc fee $1,465.75 Sales Tax (6% in CT, for now) $105.00 Registration Transfer & title $26,000 all in ($1,000 down and $25k @.9% for 60 mos) I've seen that Honda will pay first months pmt in a few postings. Is that deal still good? I also own '06 Odyssey. John, at Liberty Honda was very good to work with. Honest, patient, effective etc.

Honda Odyssey EXL with nav/res by carbird on Fri Jul 16 09:12:34 PDT 2010

Just bought 2010 EXL Nav& RES for 32.3K +TTR. Got color we wanted. Negotiated an additional $500 to trade in offer. Very happy with dealer Liberty Honda in Hartford CT. Shirt & tie dealership everything professional. No high pressure. Because of good deals inventory in CT/NY area dropping if in the market better to move now. Thanks Edmunds Forums

Re: Swap 09 Accord LX-P for CR-V [dgreb] by toca on Wed Feb 03 10:02:31 PST 2010

To expect the dealer not to make money on your transaction is wishful thinking. The best thing to do is be prepared and make sure you know the Trade In, Private Party and Trade In Used Car values for your LX-P as well as any pre-owned CR-V you are considering. You can use these numbers in negotiating both the sale of your car and the purchase of the pre-owned.

Re: Confused about 2010 CR-V EX 2WD pricing. (California) [lookingcrv] by toca on Mon Feb 01 12:07:17 PST 2010

I think your $22,400 price is a little low on for invoice, considering the base EX is $22,898 including destination. You also have splash guards, wheel locks and a trunk protector included in that price so invoice is over $23,000. Add the $1,190 from the Honda Protection package and Polysteel exterior protectant and you're in the low/mid $24k range. I think the price with everything included was fair, but you you need to do a little research on whether or not you need the extra items included with the car. All these extra's are options with the exception of the polysteel if it was already done and splash guards if they were installed (although you could probably tell them to take them off).
