I'm wondering if anyone know the formula that they use when giving a quote for a car. I would assume it would be : Price of the car + destination charge + tax and the they add all the other fees after taxes. so the other fees are not taxed also.. The breakdown that Greenwich Ct gave me for the 2009 accord ex-l with navi 4 cyl. is : $26,800 Car $179 CT Conveyance (What dealer's office receives in order to process your paperwork) $249 CT Vin Etch (as per CT Public Act 97-236 sec 13) $ NJ Sales Tax @ ?% $400 New Plates/NJ Registration (Estimate for 4Yr NJ registration) but i feel as though its too high what do u all think.

Re: What I paid

Just signed a 36 mth lease with a Greenwich,CT Honda Dealership. $239/mth, $2000 due at signing. 12k miles. I turned in a 4yr lease on a 2003 Civic which had 22,000 miles over. I had $3,300 in extra charge but I think they waived that. Did I get a good deal??

Well, tomorrow I sign. I have a 2003 Civic Lx Sedan I was paying $143/mth for it for 4 years! I will never ever get that kind of deal again and I'll always remember that deal. No money down. I am 22,000 miles over x .15 = $3300. So even if I got a camry or corolla for $190/mth I'd still have that $3300 out of pocket. Honda in Greenwich, CT is giving me $239/mth $2100 due at signing for 36 months 15k miles. Is this good? I keep comparing it to $153/mth but that was in 2003.

Car_man, Where could I find more details on this lease deal (like which models it specifically applies to)? There is a lease offer on Honda’s website for an LX Odyssey but I am looking for an EX. According to previous posts my credit score qualifies me for the 'Super Preferred' rates which I assume includes the 0.00164 money factor you mention. One of the local (Greenwich, CT) Honda dealers sent me an offer for an EX that is around 250 below invoice including destination charge which seems good for this area. They are also advertising a 24 month lease 2007 Odyssey LX for $159.00 per month with $3,499 down (total payments $3,816) with a residual value of $17,843.20. The listed MSRP of $26,240 (corresponds to the Edmunds MSRP including a Destination Charge of $595) so the residual value is 68 percent. I emailed the dealer asking what the money factor is for the LX offer but have not heard back from them today. I think the EX at 0.00164 and 250 below invoice (assuming that's an option) is better that the LX deal but without knowing the exact details yet it's hard to be certain. Andrew
