Re: Help with a Lease amount [gerbies1]

I received this email in August(from Honda of Danbury,CT). SEE BOTTOM OF THIS AD FOR THEIR SALE AMOUNT..I don't know if they would apply that to a lease but it's worth checking. I think a call center handles their calls. I hope this helps!! ________________________________________________________ LAST CHANCE - 2007 Accord Clearance Sale! Bought EX-L w/towing package: $30,328 out the door
by nosaj on Mon Jul 02 08:02:49 PDT 2007
I bought a Odyssey EX-L with the complete towing package on Saturday at Honda of Danbury in Danbury, CT. Out the door pricing: EX-L with Towing Package: $28,150 Dealer conveyance fee: $299 Tax: $1,706.94 Registration: $173 ===================================== Total: $30,328.94 I feel pretty good about this deal. I think I've seen lower prices on this forum, but I couldn't get any lower in Connecticut. A summary of my process: 1. I read this forum - Nice work everyone. 2. I contacted 11 dealers in Connecticut and New York, offering them $28,150 for the EX-L with the towing package. My offer said I wanted this as the total before TTL. 3. Four dealers did not respond. One just said "No". The rest came back with their own offers. A lot of email and telephone back & forth followed... 4. Danbury Honda came back with the deal listed above. 5. The next closest offer was $700 more. 6. When I got the offer above, I went back to the others asking if they wanted to compete with this deal. Nobody did. In fact, two competing dealers said "You better get that offer in writing before wasting your time at the dealership." They both said they would be losing money at that price. 7. I confirmed with Honda of Danbury in writing. 8. We went to the dealer on Saturday and picked up our Odyssey. Overall, Honda of Danbury provided a great deal and great service, including a VERY thorough walk-through of all features of the Odyssey before we left the lot. We were at the dealer for about 2 hours on a busy Saturday afternoon. Good luck out there.
Re: EX-L Long Island NY or Western CT
by myoldrifles on Sat Jun 16 06:46:51 PDT 2007
HI, my tranny in my Windstar is dying (second time around in 20,000 miles) and I think I should prepare for spending on the Honda. I had seen this post saying a dealer in Jersey had a price of $27,495. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with Long Island, NY purchasing. I have heard some horror stories lately of people walking in and the salespeople say that they get the sticker price and they won't deviate from the sticker. One dealership is actually charging $1,000 above sticker because they offer a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty "included". I was also wondering if anyone has had any experiences in the Danbury CT area. I have a buddy up there who could drive me. For the NY area (based on this forum) $27,495 is the price to beat. I am assuming that did not include any extras or tax, title and registration in NYS. Any help would be appreciated. Our Ford is a ticking time bomb. NEVER BUY FORD PRODUCTS.
Re: CT 2007 Pilot EX-L 4wd price good/bad? [dvsrikanth]
by handelbob on Sun May 20 07:44:43 PDT 2007
dvsrikanth : thanks for the update, much appreciated. Any insight on where I might negotiate further? I had a $2000 Honda purchase incentive, and what was described as a $400 internet special. I'm blanking. What is (RES?) I mentioned Dealer Holdback, and they never want to discuss. Branfon Honda was relatively quick to match, when I presented the offer from Cardinal, noting what a good deal, etc etc. Any suggestions where I might be able to obtain a comprable quote from FAIR honda in Danbury. Alluding to "I heard from someone who paid $29550" out the door won't likely get me to far. I appreciate any insight you may offer. thanks

I purchased 2007 EX-L 4WD (No RES, No NAV) at Fair Honda in Danbury CT on April 30th. I paid $29550 out the door (dealer threw in wheel locks for free). So you are paying about 1K more than what I paid.
