Re: Purchasing tomorrow - Either EXL or EXL - RES [jianq]

I got the SAME EXACT QUOTE from fisher a month ago plus the 1,000 since the manufacturer cash was 2,500 at that time. 29,090 plus their stupid dealer handling fee and their documentation fee's (dont forget to ask bout them). I've also noticed that the Colorado dealers invoice price is higher that the Edmund's invoice price. They must not be that desperate around here, one dealer told me; "why should we give you the holdback!" ; that was Mile-High. Burt-Kuni would not deal with me at all. They gave me some crappy price and told me that that was the best he could do.. I gave them a bad review when honda wanted feedback. I settled with Honda of Greeley on 08-11-08, they sold me the van EXL-RES for 29,000 (including their dealer prep and doc fees) + tax. I had at least four dealers around the same ballpark but only Greeley would include their prep and docs fees in the selling price. Over all it was a good experience. I haggled over email and phone. Good Luck

You can't compare CA to CO, or any other state for that matter. I have a friend that just bought a new BMW from CA b/c he did find it cheaper out there, flew out and got it. I chose not to do that. That was the best price I could get at this time by contacting every dealer on the front range. The largest and highest volume dealer would not beat it. So I don't feel like I "got hosed".

We ended up purchasing the Honda Element EX (2007) from Honda of Greeley, CO. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. They did try to push the Extended Warranties as I'm sure they are told to do. We just kept saying, "No Thank-you". The rest of the purchase was a breeze. We have had our Honda Element for about 2 weeks now and are really pleased with it. We are calling around to see who has the cheapest "installed" price for the fog lights. So far, Boulder, CO (Fisher Honda) is beating Fort Collins, Longmont and Greeley in the pricing by at least a couple of hundred.
Took 3 weeks to get our Element EX-P AWD in Colorado
by tabbycat3 on Thu Feb 22 12:33:50 PST 2007
It took our dealership (Honda of Greeley, CO) nearly 3 weeks to get us a new Honda Element EX-P 2007 All Wheel Drive in the color that we wanted. I thought that it would be a piece of cake in the Denver area, but my guess is that they ordered it direct from the factory as it was given to us with 11 miles on it, plus it took them almost 3 weeks to get one once we agreed to the price. I also wanted to say that if you are a tall person, this car is great. We thought about buying the Honda Pilot but once I got in the 2nd seat behind the driver's side I said forget it. I'm five foot 10" tall. My husband is 6 feet. When I was driving my Ford Explorer XLT (with sunroof) my head was about 2" from the ceiling. When I hit a speed bump or a pot-hole, I sometimes could feel the ceiling on my hair. The Element's 2nd row has tons of leg room. For this reason we love this car. Very nice for taller than average folks. In Colorado we did find that the All Wheel Drive versions of the Elements were scarce. Fort Collins had none when we were looking as did Longmont. The sales people said that the AWD's were hard to keep on hand.
2005 Odyssey Touring with RES and NAVI - Colorado
by irishhunter on Tue Apr 12 17:41:01 PDT 2005
Quoted 37100 out the door (Plus Tax, title, and registration) at John Elway Honda on 104th and Federal in Northern Denver area. Bought for 37000 (Plus Tax, title, and registration) at Honda of Greeley in Greeley CO. Hope that's useful to someone in Northern CO. Seems it's a hard van to get out here - Greeley had none last week, got 3 in over the weekend, and I grabbed the my first choice of color. By Tuesday of this week, they were all sold. IrishHunter
