CA - Bay Area Insight LX ~$20800 out of the door: by ajays on Sat Jul 04 23:10:22 PDT 2009; July 4th 2009. Gray LX (would have loved red or metallic blue) with couple of dealers agreeing at $18,728 + fee (doc, lic and sales tax). To be used as a commuter car with 70mi round trip a day.

I'm in California. The total fee including the title and license fee and all other fees excluding the documentation fee is about $325. Am I getting a good price? Is the $325 a right figure? The documentation fee is $55. Besides, I was told that the CA state tax would also be charged on the documentation fee. Is that a right charge?

Prices in the Bay Area are a bit higher than other areas since the incentives may not be high. Honda of Serramonte also had very aggressive quotes, perhaps because they had a sales quote to meet before June 30. The dealers with the largest inventory seem to have the best quotes.
