Make sure that 30600 includes destination. That's always a nice low ball trick.

I am looking for 2010 EX-L. I contacted several dealers around San Jose so far the best offer I got is 30,600+tax/fee (OTD will be ~34,000). Can anyone share a better offer for EX-L around here? Do you guys think better wait until Nov 2 for the new incentive/rebate or Christmas season? thanks~
2010 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES in San Jose,CA

Today I went to a local dealer after some research on this site to buy 2010 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES ( Polished Metal Metallic with Gray interior) I got final quote (after 2,3 rounds in and out to his manager the sales guy offered) for $32,700 including destination charges and the following accessories worth $600 installed on it. I got these prices from honda site. I am not sure whether they are really that much, but the sales guy told its of worth $750 with installation. Note: I have only opted for these accessories. Wheel Locks $81 Door Edge Guards $55 Splash Guards $107 All Season Floor Mats $209 Cargo Tray $117 First Aid Kit $30 anyhow to keep the story short I have offered final price of $32,300. then he turned down my offer and told me he can not sell the car below $32,700. may be i could have cut the deal for $32,500 but i have walked out. that price is before tax, tag etc.... I need your feed back guys is it the best price? 32,500. or can I pay 32,700 or stick to my offer and see whether sales guy come back to me for 32,300 ? please suggest, thanks in advance. so my OTD price would be assuming I get the van for $32,500 + $ 461 (DMV fees) + 3006 (9.25% sales tax in CA) = $35,967.

Update: I just wanted to update this post: I eventually bought the car from them, apparently due to a slight misunderstanding as noted below. The dealer called me on wednesday and wanted to now if I was still coming up to purchase the vehicle (1 hour away). I stated I would not given I had no confirmation on price (I do not want to haggle when I get up there). He stated that he didn't want to e-mail a confirmed price quote and shop it around to other dealers. I understood his point of view but only so far (butr just a little). His job is to be a internet sales manager. How else do you confirm prices(throught e-mail), especially as a internet sales manager. I did shop around my area before I called him and for the color I wanted with the options I wanted, this was the best deal I could get and I stated that in my first conversation that I would agree to purchase as long as he confirmed the price through e-mail. He eventually did. So all in all not bad and I got a fair deal, not the best, but a fair deal, and I'm happy with that and my new Odyssey. I know we (carspace forum followers) are generally more informed on deals and pricing then most others that shop for cars but what do you expect as a internet salesman. We want good prices and no haggling with easy transactions. Thats the new internet age and levels the playing field. Oh, by the way, he tried to add additional items to the car even after he confirmed my final OTD price (wheel locks, mud guards, alarm). I eventually said Ok as it would take time to remove (go figure). An extra $149. Oh well. Thanks Carspace (and posters out there sharing their experiences) for all your help!!!
