Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
I plan to purchase a 2012 FWD EX-L in a week. Is it a good price for $500 over invoice, ads, dest.? I am living in San Jose, CA. Truecar invoice 25,157 ads 270 dest 810 = 26,237 plus $500 That would be 26,737 plus ttl, docs, tax as total.
Yesterday I bought a Honda Civic LX Sedan in San Jose, CA. It is $17750 + %8.25tax and DMV Fee. For 60 months: $5000 down payment and $280 monthly payment. Includes 5Year/60000mile oil/oilfilter/tire rotation/inspection. Do you think is this a good price?
Don't know if you are still looking. We paid $21,316 plus tax & lic. in mid August at Manly Honda in Santa Rosa. The closest local dealers could come was $22,550. I do not remember otd price but you can do the math. No haggle deal, in any color. They are proud to boast that they are the first N. American dealer. And thru volumne are able to keep prices low.
They want you to prove that someone else got that same deal. Why? Because, they know that's virtually impossible, unless it was a family member.. who else would give you their personal information? They know what deal they are able to make. Tell them that's the deal you want, or you go somewhere else. Of course, you have to be willing to do that...
I emailed the dealer and they are asking for a buyer's order along and then will match this price.. What is a buyer's order?
