Re: 2008 EX-L in Tulsa - Accessories Cost...Help? [bobtnj]
by okms6 on Tue Mar 18 15:30:40 PDT 2008
Sure, you looking for Tulsa or Fayetteville? The dealer in Fayetteville gave the best price, offered to drive it to Tulsa and even helped me enforce the price guarantee in Tulsa. My salesperson in Tulsa was very nice, too, but the dealership in Fayetteville went the extra mile. Circumstances of timing kept me at the dealer in Tulsa, rather than AR, as by the time I had the final, best offer from Arkansas, I had a handshake agreement in Tulsa. Thus the pricing guarantee business in Tulsa. I've asked the Arkansas sales person if he'd like his name used on here. Waiting for email reply. Dealership is Lander's Honda of Fayetteville.
EX-L 2WD
by og4life on Sun Feb 17 19:56:33 PST 2008
Just purchased EX-L in Memphis TN and got 2.9% for 60 months. I figured I got about $3,660 under invoice. I got similar pricing at smaller dealerships in MS but had to hound them, and they could not offer special financing. The dealership in Memphis had about 60 in inventory, so finding one should not be a problem. I definitely advise anyone in MS, AR, AL to consider driving to TN because of the special rate. I might have left some $ on the table, but probably not that much. I would be curious to know what they would have taken. If anyone needs more info - cbruton2@comast.net
Best place to buy and 07or 08 odyssey in ny or nj??
by shamrocks on Wed Jan 16 11:46:48 PST 2008
Hoping I could find some assistance. My family has been looking into buying an odyssey for a while. We have shopped several dealerships. Many of them are very sneaky and we just like dealing with them. We did haggle a good price in september on an exl at open road honda. After much back and forth .. they came up with 26,000 plus . I am not sure what else they were going to add on besides the tax and tags. I assume a doc fee and who knows what else. We did not go for it then due to frustration. We really wanted one with the dvd and they would not budge. Anyhow please advise me on the "correct" honest price for this car. We are looking for a good deal and would welcome working with a great dealership. THanks in advance. Anywhere in NY, NJ and PA is great. We need a c ar soon!!!

2007 EXLs are going below 26k in most parts of the country which means the dealer is charging you at least ~1500 for the free warranty. I would stay away from this dealer. Get quotes for EXL without the warrantly and if you really need the warranty get the Hondacare online.
EXL in AR

Got an internet OTC quote of 27,566 for EXL. With 7 yrs 100,000 mile powertrain warranty at no cost. Is that a good price for EXL? BTW, how to check the Car sales tax rate in AR and TN. I had a hard time to find out. thanks. Lucy

No, I do not think you are lying!!! All I am saying is that you are very quick to reply that they are not PROBLEMS and to anyone with that problem (and it seems the differential problem posters do have problems) it is worth posting to see if anyone else has similar problems. The best example of this would be the A/C compressor problem posts. I have been reading and posting on Edmunds for several years and am a big fan of yours as to the advice and honesty of your posts. In fact, if I lived near your dealership I would have purchased my 2007 Honda CRV EXL from you, however; I live in Florida and NJ, so that was out of the question. The Edmunds forums are very informative .... a lot of people that never post...DO POST when they have a problem (certainly a lot more than if they never have a problem). I have to agree with you that of the thousands upon thousands of Hondas sold, most of them ar PROBLEM FREE!!!
