Phoenix/ Tucson/Yuma Hondas w/ invoice prices for EX civics?
by ohplezz on Mon Nov 19 19:03:21 PST 2007
Has anyone been able to get a new civic ex coupe MT for invoice in these towns. I'm not buying now, probably in late feb of next year. I'm from nyc so I don't know anything about the dealers in AZ. In nyc its not that hard to get a deal. Are their any volume dealers in southern AZ willing to make invoice deals?
Accord EX-L V6M

Just returned home from the dealer in Yuma, AZ. I bought a silver EX-L V6M for 24,527 (includes destination). Invoice was 24,820 + dest charge of 595 = 25,415. So, I figure I paid $888.00 below invoice. They also moved from $2,100 to $2,500 for my 95 Honda LX with 94,000 miles. Tax was 3% or 660 dollars (taxable amount was 22,027 with trade in). (Arizona hs reciprical state tax law with NC and I am Active Duty Military and not a resident here). License fee was 19.85 and doc fee was 395.00 (which they would not deal on). Not sure if I could have done better, but was shooting for 23K with my trade - I walked out paying 23102.66 with trade in. The car rocks. Thanks for the help here, no idea that Accords were going for so much below invoice until I started reading this forum.
Re: Lower price on black Odyssey, popularity or problem? [odysseybuyer]

I have one that's Midnight Blue Pearl (which for all practical purposes is about as dark as black) and the AC has had no problem keeping up, not even in the heat and mountains on I-8 between Yuma, AZ, and San Diego. While prices, as such, aren't differentiated by color, demand for certain colors can vary by market. If you've never had a black vehicle be prepared to devote extra time to keeping it clean because the color shows dirt and waterspots all too readily. And it's a vehicle with LOTS of body surface.

"......Don't forget the price savings of I-4 vs. V-6, including the mileage (I got 37mpg on a flat highway trip last week, my highest ever). The V-6 is rated for 20/29 mpg, versus 24/34 for the I-4 Auto (26/34 for the manual transmission)......." ...while both the V-6 and I4 are great engines, I wouldn't sell the six short on fuel efficiency. (See my Gila Bend to Yuma, AZ eye-popping MPG in a previous post covering my two-week Reserve duty last October) ...my V-6 6M coupe has better numbers than my late, lamented '69 CorVette....technology on the march...... best, ez.....
