Re: 2009 CRV AWD LX for $21600+TTC, good deal or not? [hp2009]
by landsat on Sat Sep 12 22:06:25 PDT 2009
For heads up, just bought 2009 CRV 2WD LX $21500 OTD at Phoenix, AZ, Earnhardt Honda. I think it is an OK deal. Wasted 2.5 hrs at another dealer at Superstition Springs, since the internet sales manager called me and said he could beat the $21500, but after I got there, he said we misunderstood him, he said he could beat $22500. What a hell. Although I am a foreigner, but I earned my Ph.D here, and clearly heard he said he could give me $21300 twice.
2010 EX-L with RES in AZ
by bigdon2 on Fri Aug 28 10:16:12 PDT 2009
We benefited a lot from this forum, and wanted to thank everybody who shared info. here. We bought a 2010 Ex-L with Res (plus Tinted window, splash guards, cargo tray, wheel lock) last week. Base price is 32900 (includes everything before tax and title). We paid 36200 OTD (32900+2700 tax+600 title&registration). At that time, there were only two 2010 EX-L with Res in the Phoenix area and cash for clunckers was still going on, so I assume the price can go even lower. We need to move on, so didn't wait for a better price. My sense is that the base price (i.e., all that you pay before tax and title/registration) should be no more than manufacture invoice +designition+ a few hundred dollars. Now the cash for clunckers is over. You should expect a base price around 32400 (manufacture invoice +designition) or lower. Never pay for accessaries that are already installed, they should always be free. The dealer should have at least $1000 holdback (3%) as profit if they sell at 32400. So, at the right moment and the right dealership, you can probably get 32000 or 31800 as base price, depending on how desprate the dealer is... I would not recommend everybody to always look for the best price though, because the dealers will make you feel exhausted. If you are busy with other things in your life, consdier paying a few hundred dollars more and move on. Dealers will cut deals at quite different prices in different weeks, depending on supply and demand, and their own pressures. They just will not sell the car to you at a low price in certain weeks, and if you cannot wait, just pay them a few hundred dollars more, be happy and move on! Good luck to everyone!
Re: Atlanta Honda Dealers and Prices for Honda Accord-09 Ex-L 4 cylinder [akaatl]

I just bought a 2009 Accord EX-L last night for 24,800 out the door including the 1500 marketing incentive and financed at the 3.9% rate. It was a nightmare. Settled on a price over the internet and then when I got in the door they tried their best to bait and switch, etc. Bottom line, I will NEVER again do business at that particular dealer in Phoenix, AZ. It took them 41/2 hours to complete the deal even though we had an agreement before I even walked through the door. Homework on Edmunds sure pays off!!!

Hi - I am located in Phoenix, AZ but would be willing to head to Southern California if this is the best deal. It's not that far. Could you also send me via email the name of the sales person and the name of the dealership? I am hoping to take advantage of the cash for clunkers so need to wait until that is fully available to close any deals. Any help is appreciated. I have been quoted a price of 18,500 OTD and that is with a lower sales tax percentage than california.
Honda Accord EX-L w/ Nav 4 Cyl Phoenix, Arizona
by kooda on Sat Jun 06 20:40:01 PDT 2009
Hi All, I have got the OTD (sale price + all fees and taxes) quote from three dealers EarnHardt, Arrowhead, and Showcase Honda (all in Phoenix, AZ) for 2009 Accord 4 Cyl EX-L with Navigation. These quotes include the manufacturer to dealer cash of $1500. Showcase Honda: $28,400 Arrowhead: $28700 Earhardt: $29300 This is my first car buying experience and I know I am not a good negotiator. Need your advice and guidance about these prices. Please advise if someone bough a accord recently in Phoneix and if they have got a better deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jeremy, I've seen your posts in this topic and see that you are in AZ - I wish I had seen them sooner as the deal you got in CA seems to be pretty good (although we purchased an EX). Somewhat off-topic, can you share where you are having the dvd/monitor/parking sensors installed? If I recall from previous posts, you are in the Phoenix area. These are all items I am interested in adding to our EX and am looking to do it for as reasonable a price as possible. Perhaps this is information best shared off-forum; if so, let me know and I will get in touch with you via other methods. Thanks, Greg
