Carriage Kia
Ok, so yea, anyone can say those things but truly, they really do embody these traits and understand the value of a customer. I came to Carriage Kia, a disenchanted customer having a very poor experience with another Kia dealer who just about changed my mind about Kia all together. I did some further research, including other vehicles, and again came back to the fact that for all my research, Kia’s Optima was one of the final selections for my needs along with the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
I give Kia another chance and took a 30 mile ride to Carriage Kia after receiving some quotes over the internet. This is where the entire deal turned around. First of all my salesman, Leonard Walker, is one of the most patient, informed and honest salespeople I have ever met. Besides answering all my questions in detail, he gave me opposing thoughts and views, details on other comparable vehicles and even some of his personal experiences which made the selection of which vehicles and model was best for me. He made it clear that his purpose was to make sure I choose a vehicle I was going to be happy with at a price point I could afford, what more could you ask for. We discussed several vehicle models in the Optima family and I naturally gravitated towards the most expensive one. You have to see this new Optima SXL to believe just how nice it really is.
Well, long story short we took a test drive and the car was everything I expected it to be and more. We discussed price and my trade in and ended up with a deal that I originally came in with the expectation for. I – unknown to them – calculated a max payment and length of agreement and came in just 55 dollars away from my original estimate and had the 2013 SXL instead of a 2012 SX for my efforts. I’m not sure what Leonard’s commission was for this sale but when he told me while we were negotiating that he just wanted a satisfied customer and that referrals and other dealership incentives were more important to him than a single sale he sold me on himself and the dealership. Could it have been just talk, sure, but I’ll tell you this much, at 50+ years old I’ve been around and I can tell you he is genuine.
Bottom line, do yourself a favor and give these folks a shot. I can promise you that you’ll be treated with the upmost courtesy and respect and even if you don’t purchase a vehicle you’ll have made a new set of friends.
