Can’t manage out of state sales but said they could

This dealership, and Kevin in particular, wasted my time. They said they could manage a virtual purchase and an out of state titling, but they ultimately couldn’t. Worked with them over 2+ days to finalize it, but they were unable to meet what they said they could. Very disappointed.

That glorious monster

I have never loved a car so much, nor has my buying experience ever been so joyful. Chuck Alderman is an incredible guy, his expertise, knowledge, ethics, energy, and enthusiasm for Hyundai made my kickoff to 2022 a powerful blast into the future. It's only been 24 hours, and I've referred countless people to Chuck and to Jim Ellis. My review of my Santa Cruz could not be more favorable. What a high quality machine full of style and adventure. I'm honored to be behind the wheel of that glorious monster. I've named my Santa Cruz Carlyle, and he's already become a Virginia Highland celebrity. Thank you for making my experience a day I'll always remember. I can't dare leave out Hau-B Cao, he was the icing on the cake.

Dont let the Smooth taste Fool you!

The Jim Ellis name is one of which Ive always respected....Today's experience changed my view completely!...Im currently in the market for a used vehicle and decided that the Chrysler 300S would be my vehicle of choice....Saw a quite nice looking 300s online at Jim Ellis Hyundai of Atlanta on Peachtree Blvd......This is about an hours drive (with traffic) from where I reside (near the Atlanta Airport). Because of the distance, I decided to call and make sure the vehicle was there and available prior to leaving.....Brittany answered the phone and was quite pleasant; she told me the car was there and I actually scheduled a time for a test drive.....HOWEVER, when I arrived (a 50 yr old Black Man dressed in nice jogging pants and tennis shoes wearing a covid mask)...The car was suddenly not operable and needed repairs....I then asked could I at least look at the vehicle, the salesman (Hamilton) explain its being serviced somewhere else. and it would be a month before it was ready......SAY WHAT???? Why then are U still advertising the car as ready to go?? even as I write this review?? I then asked to look at a G80, Hamilton said "ok, Ill go grab the key...He then had me waiting 15 mins, came back and said the key lock box is frozen...WTH!!.......Very Disappointing and Disheartening experience to say the least.....I am a professional man (native of Atlanta) with excellent credit and credentials! and I was made to feel like quite the opposite!! I also expressed my feelings about the situation to Hamilton before I left...........Shame on you!!! (and all of those involved).....

Excellent Show room experience

This is a clean and efficient show room. There was plenty of space for privacy at the salesman’s desk. Everyone was careful with Health and wore a mask or had been vaccinated. There was no frantic push to stick you in a car. There was time for you to relax a little while talking about what you’re looking for. They were available for your information and were quickly responsive for questions. My salesman Chuck was personable, knowledgeable, and again, listen to what I was looking for. He also took into consideration what my limits were. I feel I got the best deal ever.

Easiest car purchase I have ever made!

Jim Ellis Hyundia is a great dealership to do business with. They were straight forward with me about the out the door price. No dealer add ons such as Nitrogen filled tires, paint protection or any anti theft glass etching. The price was excellent and working with the salesman Chuck Alderman was the best. Before you buy from anybody else give Jim Ellis Hyundia a call.

Great dealership

Chuck Alderman was so nice and low key. Did not pressure us abs was very accommodating. This is our second vehicle purchase from A Jim Ellis dealership because they have great customer service and clean dealerships. You can tell they take pride in their work. We appreciated everyone from the woman who manages the front desk to other sales people we did not work with. Everyone is nice and makes you feel like they want you to be genuinely happy. Buying a car is a pain and a long process, we all know that. But Jim Ellis’ staff makes you feel good about your purchase!!

David and the entire crew that worked with me was my best car buying experience. I sales school I taught we wanted the customer to have fun spending his money. I had so much fun I bought two cars instead on one. David Kim was lots of fun to work with. Billy and Nancy McDonald. Finance --Mark was excellent.

Rahsaan went above and beyond!

Upon arrival, I was impressed that Jim Ellis Hyundai actually checked people's temperatures before allowing anyone inside and working with the sales and service department. We went to 3 other dealerships and Jim Ellis was the only one to do so. I dread car shopping because of the stress and pressure from sales people not to mention it is a large purchase which in itself is stressful. We worked with Rahsaan Huger and I appreciated his personality (or sales tactic). We did a lot of research about the vehicles we were looking at and narrowed it down to two options. This was our first stop looking at the vehicles in person. He first asked what we were looking for in a car. Once my husband and I listed our must haves he said thought he had the car for us. Rahsaan was right. He had the car for us but we didn't purchase the vehicle that day because we weren't sure. Rahsaan was patient with us while we asked a million questions and left to look at other vehicles. Before we left, he provided us with a quote and was upfront about pricing. He didn't pressure us to make a decision or act cheesy about selling the vehicle. After dealing with other salesman here are a few specific ways in which Rahsaan stood out: 1) He was forthcoming with information. He didn't act as though answering questions about the vehicle were confidential government secrets. Rahsaan answered questions directly while other salesman we encountered did not. Some answered questions with another question or avoided answering all together. 2) Rahsaan was serious. He had a great personality but treated both of us with respect and wasn't what I would call salesman cheesy. Again, we encountered salesman that were overly enthusiastic and it came across as fake. The most offensive remark made by another salesman at a dealership included a joke that my husband was buying the car and I was just there as an accessory. 3) Rahsaan is everything you want in a salesperson. He didn't talk us into spending more money for something we didn't need. We were actually considering a higher level trim but after he listened to what we wanted, he suggested we look at lesser-trim. After we agreed on the vehicle to buy, Rahsaan took the car to get detailed while we signed all the paperwork. When the car came back, the detail service was lacking. Actually, it didn't look like it was touched by the people responsible for cleaning it. Instead of saying "Oh well", Rahsaan went inside the dealership and came back with a rag and cleaner. He ended up cleaning the vehicle! I don't think that was his job to do but I appreciated that he wanted to make sure we left the dealership satisfied. He very easily could have walked away after selling the car and left us to deal with a car that was not cleaned as promised. Long story short, Rahsaan was a fantastic salesman to work with and I would highly recommend him and Jim Ellis to anyone.

great customer service

Kenny Gaynor gave top notch customer service to my dad and mom. My parents came back home saying the sales man was quite impressive and very happy with their experience with him. They brought back the car they wanted and had him explain certain things of the car they did not understand. 3 weeks later after the purchase of the car he is still helping us. Glad this location has a great sales him like him.

Whew what an experience. I haven’t purchased many cars in my lifetime but the knowledge and experience I had with Tim Wilson really set the bar. He was knowledgeable and very patient with me regarding my needs. I will be coming back to him and sending my family and friends on over to Jim Ellis to see him as well.

My husband and I had been car shopping most of the day and were exhausted. We decided to visit 1 last dealership around 5pm. We phoned ahead about a specific Tucson and upon arrival we were greeted by the Salesmen Shawn Huger. He asked if we had been assigned a salesperson and we answered no. Shawn worked with us very closely and answered every question. He went and expressed our financial concerns with Kevin the Used Car Manager. Kevin was very cordial and polite as well. Needless to say, we made a deal and the entire team at Jim Ellis Hyundai worked to make it all happen, including detailing my new car at 7pm. Def would do business with them again.

This was one of my best dealership experiences, both for sales (bought a new vehicle) and for service (had to come in for maintenance for my current vehicle). Chuck Alderman was an absolute pleasure to work with in Sales and made sure he could do everything to give us the best price. He was transparent and friendly, and was never pushy. We actually had a deal waiting elsewhere, but Jim Ellis were willing to beat any offer we had and wanted the business without being annoying about it. Absolutely recommend. The service staff was amazing as well. 100% recommend.

Warranty repair perfection

My Hyundai Tucson has a dual clutch transmission. Jim Ellis identified the need to perform warranty transmission work. They provided a loaner vehicle and had the repair completed a day ahead of time. My Tucson's transmission is silky smooth now!

Great Sevice Department!

I have been having a problem with my car for months, I had taken it to a local Hyundai Dealership several times, left it for days and they could not find the problem. I brought it to Jim Ellis Hyundai and within 30 minutes, they were telling me what the problem was and what they were going to do to fix it. When I tell you what a RELIEF that was...FINALLY! Did not received my next oil change sticker

I did not get the sticker in the upper left corner of my windshield. I now have to find a piece of paper and put it there to remind me when the next oil and filter change is due.
