Leased a 2008 Denali. LOVE IT.
by chris7469 on Wed May 21 07:45:39 PDT 2008
I posted a similar message on the wrong forum. I just leased a 2008 White Denali in April with a sticker of 59,700 for $782.13 per month including NJ Sales Tax. Total upfront costs were $2,840, however that only covered me for 3 yrs and 36,000 miles. Included in that $2,840 was a $500 additional upfront payment for a bumper to bumper warranty for the extra 3 months and 9,000 miles. There is a refundable $800 security deposit and no disposition fee. Its a 39 month lease with 15,000 miles per year through GMAC. The truck is loaded with the dual DVDs, Touch Nav, retractable running boards, 20in wheels. We love it. It was in Central NJ and the dealer experience was excellent. After shopping around, for the mileage and options I think we got a good deal. What do you think? Thanks. CM

I'd rather not say in public (you can pm me or email me if you want) but it has nothing to do with the dealer (I'm in Central NJ though). Do you have a GM Friends and Family certificate? If not, get one because that's what I'm using. Once you have that, there's really no negotiating necessary unless you want to try to get them to go even lower on the selling price of the car. Almost all dealers accept them and the selling price is predetermined by GM. I don't even know if they will go lower than the supplier pricing that the certificate gets you but I may give it a shot to save myself a few extra bucks.

2008 - Under $34K for SLT2

Got my 2008 for $130 over invoice and will get whatever rebates are in place when car arrives. SLT-2 with no upgrades. They will deal if you don't take one off the lot. They can't get enough for the floor, but they will order one since they don't have to carry the cost. Central PA
ny smartbuy sales tax problem
by caddyman9160 on Thu Sep 20 20:17:38 PDT 2007
Hello car_man, I am getting 2 different opinions regarding the impending purchase of a new 2007 sierra 1500 crewcab. I want to take advantage of the 0% , 60 months financing. Using the pull ahead option for my 04 escalade w/ 68K miles, one dealer said i am entitled to sales tax savings using a book value for my 04 escalade , the other dealer said I am not entitled to any sales tax credit when i pull ahead, only when i trade in. Neither dealer want my vehicle as a trade in. I am currently in a smart buy, 3 months left, 16K miles over. I live in Central NY, unable to get ANY advice from GM, or GMAC. Can you advise or point me in the right direction? Thank You, Craig caddyman9160
Lease Rates, Residuals and Fees (as of 2/28/07)

Been lurking (and learning) on the board for a few weeks and thought i would share quotes that i've been getting from dealers: In Central/Northern NJ dealers are quoting the following: Rates -36 month, 15k miles/yr....60% residual and 7.2% rate -48 month, 15k miles/yr....52% residual and 7.2% rate Fees: -Bank Acquisition: $695 -Tags and Title: $400 -Documentation: $299 -Tire (NJ specific): 1.50 /tire X 5 tires = $7.50 -Gap Insurance: assuming is tucked away in one of the fees above, since wasn't quoted directly...will need to confirm Taxes: -7%: NJ charges as percent of all monthly pymnts upfront at closing Would be interesting to know what others have been quoted or have paid....
