Lease for 2012 Acadia Denali with Nav & Dual DVD by engineer14 on Sun Dec 11 05:23:24 PST 2011

Hi, I was quoted the following lease deal in NJ for a fully loaded 2012 Acadia Denali with Nav and Dual Headrest DVD. (Black exterior and Black interior) Does this sound like a good deal?? MSRP: $50,990 Interest Rate APR: 1.0500% 39 month Lease through Ally 12,000 miles/year All taxes & fees are already included in payment (7% tax rate for NJ) Cash down $810 Payment/month = $615 1st payment due in a month Please let me know your thoughts and whether you think it's a good deal. I spoke to two dealerships and they both say they can't go lower. THANKS!!

Lease Offer for 2012 SLT1 by dif on Wed Oct 05 19:50:17 PDT 2011

I was given the following offer for the 2012 Acadia SLT1: $568 down, $568 per month for 39 months, 12k per year for the SLT1 with sunroof and leather interior and nothing else. This sounds expensive to me but is the best deal that I have gotten so far in NJ. What do you think? If I plug in the 51% residual value, 1.05% lease rate, and ~$41,000 purchase price into the leasing calculator, I get a much lower lease rate but I would be leaving out the acquisition fees, etc. Am I doing something wrong? What do you think of this offer? Thanks for the help.

2011 Acadia SLT-1 AWD Sticker; 45,005.00 with options of navi, sunroof, carbon black color, and trailering package (which added 4,010 to the base) Offer of 42K before incentive Final car price: 40K 19K for trade (which was fair) 1,610 in sales tax (NJ is 7%) 199.95 doc fee :( 7.50 tire tax $102 to trasfer plate So, I guess the OTD price was techinically 41,817.45? I thought that was a good deal. Thoughts?

Re: SLE Price [jseinfeld] by delta737h on Thu Apr 07 19:02:46 PDT 2011

jseinfeld, An acquistion fee is different from a dealer doc fee. The fund provider charges an acquisition fee (ally (GMAC) $795). The dealer charges a negotiable doc fee. In NJ, it should be no more than $275. Do not let the dealer charge you an $850 doc fee as that's outrageous! John

jseinfeld, Actually, I got $413.83 (including tax) which is close to your calculation and is based on the data you provided. I'm assuming no capitalized amounts and no cap reductions and that the $33,937 lease price means the same thing as selling price. NJ computes the tax base as the sum of the taxable payments. Your taxable payment is $386.63 and the sales tax is computed as follows... 0.07 x 39 x 386.63 = $1,055.50 You can pay this upfront or capitalize it. It looks as though the dealer may have capped it which is what I did. Apparently, the dealer must be capping other items as well to the tune of about $2,343. The doc fee is about $250 and Ally Bank's acquistion fee is $795, plus tax is about $240 short of $2,343. The best way to remedy this is to get a copy of their lease worksheet. Also, Ally Bank (GMAC) uses an interest rate and not a money factor. Hence, the 0.3% lease rate. John
