TX $12,000 off of list: by saabturboid on Tue Sep 02 09:03:00 PDT 2008; A local Ford dealer here in Minnesota is advertising the TX at $12,000 off of list. This apparently includes a $2,000 owners loyalty bonus. The other details were not listed in the ad, but this almost seems too good to be true. If so, one should be able to get a brand new TX for well under $20,000. At this price I don't understand why they aren't flying off of the lots. The TX is a really great family vehicle. - Chad

Milan lease--good deal?: by backy on Thu Jul 03 11:56:27 PDT 2008; I have been offered the following deal on a 2008 Milan I4 (base) with the automatic/alloys package, MSRP $21,060. Monthly payment $226 (which supposedly includes sales tax of 6.5% although I must pay all of that up front), 39 months, $1200 total up front costs, 10.5k miles/year. The sales rep claims that the dealer will lose money on the deal just to move a unit. Their original offer was $252/month until I was leaving in my car and the rep went after me. The $252 was supposedly X-plan pricing; the sales rep said the lower offer was NOT X-plan, since they are not allowed to negotiate on those. Does this seem like a good deal? I was hoping to get close to $200/month before tax and as low of out-of-pocket costs as possible. The sales rep said the offer is "good until Saturday." ;) Thanks.

[ursacat]: by rilian on Tue May 06 17:22:45 PDT 2008; Placed an order today in sunny (finally but only half of the day) Southern MN for 2009 AWD FEH base model, no options. Base includes SYNC and Satellite Radio and cloth seats (too cold for leather - only heat the front seats). $28,854 w/ destination charges using X-Plan. Delivery date window of Nov '08-Jan '09.

MSRP is $34,155. Here's the details that the dealer (Apple Valley Ford in MN) is offering. Does this sound like it's inline with your figures? X-plan price: $32,432 Rebate: $1,750 Money factor 3.5 $50 dealer fee Sales tax is 7% I have $1200 from my current lease to pay $600 will be paid down Their payment is $565.30/month. '08 Taurus in MN: by capella on Mon Jan 21 23:57:32 PST 2008; Bought an '08 Taurus SEL (FWD) in MN for just under $21,500 plus TT&L (MSRP was around $24,700, including destination charge). I'm sure that's nothing amazing, but we received a decent trade on our minivan. Other dealers elsewhere had better prices ($500-700 less) on similarly equipped vehicles -- one quoted us a price under $21,000. However, they were pretty far away and the one we checked didn't give as good an allowance on the trade, so it was close to a wash and we bought from the local dealer. So far, so good.
