Buying a car from a Ford Car Dealer
Hey car man.. looking at leasing a 2010 Fusion SEL here in the Detroit, MI area. I am getting the Z plan price due to my father being a Ford retiree. The family has been using the same Ford dealership for years so have just got a quote from them. I chose a car on the lot with a sticker price of $28,105 and my Z plan price is $25,282.62. With no money down and a 36 month 12,000 miles lease I was qouted $396 including tax. Does seem about right for this area and these times? I last leased 3 years ago as well as my mom and seems like leasing has gone up. My moms 06 Fusion SEL was $262. The sales rep says things have just changed and rates are up since then. It just seems like they should be begging me to buy a car these days the way things are here. Is the $396 rate seem reasonable in your opinion? Thanks, greg
Hi Car_man, I am looking at leasing a 2009 Fusion Se with the sun & sync package in the Detroit, MI area. I have access to Frod Z-plan. The lease terms are 36-months 12000 miles 0 due (taxes & tiles which is $444.81). 4.0% with a 51% residual. The monthly would be $288.37. Does this sound resonalble to you? FYI- I am also leasign an Escape at the same time so I feel I sould be able to have a bit of a negoating advantage. Any inforamtion or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for the help! Hi Car_man. I am looking at leasing a 2009 Escape XLT w/ sun & sync and 17" chrome wheel in the Detroit, MI area. I have access to Ford Z-plan pricing. Lease terms are 36-month, 10500 miles with $0.00 down (just title and tax actual due is $488.71), 4.5% with 52% residual. I am told the A/Z plan price is $23,444.64. This would make my monthly payment $337.72. Is this reasonalble? The dealer also mentioned that Ford Credit is ending leasing Escapes on Tues 1/13/09?!? That sounded like a bit of a "hurry and get it now" method of sales. I am also looking at leasing a Fusion at the same time, so the salesman gets two cars (I will post my questions in the Fusion Forum). Thank you in advance for the help! Alexski
I am looking at an '08 Edge Limited, 13500k miles, 36 month lease....looking for a ballpark as to whether the dealer is full of 'you know what'. Here is what he sent me via email....any opinions would be GREATLY appreciated. My current lease is due and I really need a new vehicle. I like the Edge but I don't want to be taken. Thanks in advance! Selling price: z-plan 30635.65 Residule:43% Money factor: .25% Rebates: 1250+500=1750total The payment came out to 445 per month and a total out of pocket of 550. The mileage is 13500 per year for 36 months. Be careful because most of the other dealerships in the area are going with out side banks that charge disposition fees and other fees to lure you in and also pick apart you at termination. The normal disposition fee is around 500. at lease end. Our lease is a ford red carpet lease no hidden extras!!!!
