Just Purchased 2009 Ford Flex Limited AWD!!!
by kristenr on Tue Nov 25 20:43:34 PST 2008
This car is absolutely amazing... Best car out there, hands down. I didn't even realize how great this vehicle was until after we got it home! We purchased our Flex from Galpin Ford, in North Hills, CA. Our salesman was actually one of the salesmen from across the street, at the Lincoln dealership, but we liked him so much when we were considering the Lincoln Navigator that we just decided to purchase the Flex through him (since Galpin owns both dealerships, it wasn't a problem). Let me tell you, I have NEVER had better service anywhere... EVER. They were outstanding and have a huge selection. Everything was top-notch and they really made us feel special throughout the whole process. Anyway, here is what we paid: $41,222.90 Car & Accessories. $55.00 Doc Fee. $695.00 LoJack. $3043.04 Sales Tax. $3955.00 Pre-paid services, including oil changes and brakes & extended warranty: 72 mths, 100k miles bumper to bumper. $695.00 Gap Insurance. Total Cash Price: $49,665.94 License Fees: $337.00 Reg: $9.00 Tire Fee: $8.75 Total Fees: $345.75 Subtotal: $50,020.69 Rebate: $395.00 Down Payment: $5,000.00 Financed: $44,625.69 4.9% APR $841.81/mth for 60 mths. The Flex has everything... One DVD screen, not the headrest ones. Has the refrigerator. AWD. Vista roof. SYNC. Tow prep. Chrome wheels. Sterling grey with white roof. The pricing includes a service plan. We will not pay a thing for 6 years or 100k miles. Oil changes, scheduled maintenance, brakes, everything bumper-to-bumper will be covered free of charge. Also, LoJack and GAP insurance are included. I think I must be forgetting something, but I can't think of what! Oh, and we gave up the extra $1,000 rebate to receive the 4.9% apr.
Question about Lease rates in San Diego
by wufibug on Wed May 21 00:04:30 PDT 2008
Hello, My wife and I have been looking into an Edge for quite some time and we're thinking about pulling the trigger this weekend. Specs are as follows: 2008 SEL Vista Roof Blk Leather Cargo Management Power Liftgate Power fold down seats Sync 18" Chromes We're in San Diego, CA 92122. The local dealer has one in Vapor Silver. We didn't get into invoice, but... sticker was $31,770... He quoted us: $2750 in rebates $2,000 down, $299 per month, 36 months, 15k This was without running our credit and using the xplan that my wife gets through work. When I told him I didn't want to put anything down, he said it depended on my credit -- maybe a safety deposit?? He also said that for every $750 less I put down my monthly payment goes up $20. My wife and I both have decent credit, seven hundred and change. Do you think we'll qualify for the Red Carpet low lease rate? If so, what % is that? Residual? Thanks in advance, wufibug
Ford Escape in San Diego County
by urkewl on Fri Nov 02 23:24:33 PDT 2007
On 10/29 I bought an Escape Hybrid from North County Ford in Vista, CA. I contacted their Costco auto buying program contact because I saw on Forddirect.com that they had the exact model I wanted in stock. The local Costco price is $500 over invoice. I called and found out that the one I had my eye on had just been sold. However, the saleman stated that if I was willing to go with something he had in stock, he would sell to me for invoice. I agreed and picked up a 2008 Escape Hybrid (Oxford White) with the following features: 1) Premium Hybrid Package 2) 6 Disc CD/MP3 player 3) Integrated side step bars. The sale price was $26,363.68. The factory invoice was dated 9/25/07. Great buying experience as the salesman was very friendly. It was a stark contrast to just a couple of months ago when I walked into Kearny Mesa Ford in San Diego and saw that they had only one Hybrid in stock and they had added a "market adjustment" right next to the sticker that added several thousand to the asking price.
Just bought mine

Well I just got home for a long trip to my local dealership. The first lot I went to had an Alloy V6 Prem fully loaded. They wanted $32,000 for it and wouldn't budge. $25,000 MSRP with a $7,000 dealer markup. I took off and drove about 20 mins to another lot and and they had a Vista Blue with Auto tranny, V6 pony package, Leather seats, and Interior Upgrade Package for $24,000 MSRP. I walked out with the car at $21,827. :)

fidothedog I ran into the same thing some dealers wanted as much $6000 above sticker.Stay away from the salespeople, go on line or talk to the fleet sales. I ordered a Mustang GT convertible from North County Ford in Vista Ca. on 1-28-05 and took delivery 3-23-05 and paid $1500 over dealer invoice which is still less than MSRP.Total $31853.51 plus tax and license.Extras included: automatic trans, interior upgrade pkg, 17" brt machined wheels, whl locking kit, convert boot, plus they tacked on advertizing fee. They stopped taking orders on 05's 4-8-05 so if you didn't get ordered before then, order a 06
