Just Purchased 2009 Ford Flex Limited AWD!!!
by kristenr on Tue Nov 25 20:43:34 PST 2008
This car is absolutely amazing... Best car out there, hands down. I didn't even realize how great this vehicle was until after we got it home! We purchased our Flex from Galpin Ford, in North Hills, CA. Our salesman was actually one of the salesmen from across the street, at the Lincoln dealership, but we liked him so much when we were considering the Lincoln Navigator that we just decided to purchase the Flex through him (since Galpin owns both dealerships, it wasn't a problem). Let me tell you, I have NEVER had better service anywhere... EVER. They were outstanding and have a huge selection. Everything was top-notch and they really made us feel special throughout the whole process. Anyway, here is what we paid: $41,222.90 Car & Accessories. $55.00 Doc Fee. $695.00 LoJack. $3043.04 Sales Tax. $3955.00 Pre-paid services, including oil changes and brakes & extended warranty: 72 mths, 100k miles bumper to bumper. $695.00 Gap Insurance. Total Cash Price: $49,665.94 License Fees: $337.00 Reg: $9.00 Tire Fee: $8.75 Total Fees: $345.75 Subtotal: $50,020.69 Rebate: $395.00 Down Payment: $5,000.00 Financed: $44,625.69 4.9% APR $841.81/mth for 60 mths. The Flex has everything... One DVD screen, not the headrest ones. Has the refrigerator. AWD. Vista roof. SYNC. Tow prep. Chrome wheels. Sterling grey with white roof. The pricing includes a service plan. We will not pay a thing for 6 years or 100k miles. Oil changes, scheduled maintenance, brakes, everything bumper-to-bumper will be covered free of charge. Also, LoJack and GAP insurance are included. I think I must be forgetting something, but I can't think of what! Oh, and we gave up the extra $1,000 rebate to receive the 4.9% apr.
Focus lease help in CA
by ryley67 on Mon Apr 28 12:07:52 PDT 2008
Hey everyone! I am looking to negotiate a lease for my mother on a 2008 Focus S Coupe or Sedan(No preference). The only thing she cares about is an automatic. She will probably put around 5000-6000 miles on a year if that. Her credit score is in the low 800's. I would like to stay under 2k drive-off. Will someone please let me know what a reasonable monthly payment would be. I know I should be concerned with the residual and money factor, but I just need something short term for my mom since she probably won't be driving for too much longer.
Got mine today
by stevedebi on Thu Apr 17 23:17:23 PDT 2008
Well, after much consideration, I traded in my Freestyle on an AWD FEH today. I got mine from Galpin Ford in North Hills CA. The experience was very good, and I paid less than MSRP (I'm a repeat customer). They had about 20 FEH, 10 Mercury Mariner, and a half dozen of the Mazda Tribute Hybrids on the lot, ready for sale. The salesman said they sell 7 or 8 a week or so. I wanted the FWD, but I also wanted the Premium package - I like the backup sensors and the leather. I didn't want the moonroof or navigation. They had only one on the lot to my exact desires - the one I now own, a Kiwi Green color. The extra options that came with it were the chrome additions and the side step bumper. They had a Mercury hybrid I liked, but it was $1700 more, and they were not dealing, so I accepted the AWD. The Mercury rode better, had slightly better seats, had keyless entry on the driver side, audio controls on the stearing wheel, generally better looking interior, and was FWD, but it also had the moonroof and Nav - and no reverse sensors. I made the switch because we didn't really need the size of the FS, and it only gets 18 or so MPG in town. I realize that there is no way I'll ever make up the difference in price via MPG savings, but I am pleased. To tell the truth, I just plain wanted to own the FEH. Time will tell on the mileage; I reset the MPG meter when I left the dealer and it is showing 30.5 right now. Having driven a Freestyle for a couple of years has provided me experience with milking a CVT for mileage, and the instant MPG meter provides very good clues as to how to maximize efficiency.

I just picked up my new Taurus X Limited FWD last week. Here's the invoice prices of my new T-X: $27,931 T-X Limited FWD, Ice Blue Metallic, Leather seats,.... 443 FDAF Assessment (not at all negotialble - said to be on all cars) 750 Destination Charge 16 5 gallons gas and Calif. emissions charge 1,736 Navigation System 566 Auxillary Climate Control 170 Satellite Radio 866 DVD Family Entertainment System 222 Limited Convenience Group $32,670 TOTAL Invoice price Note the MSRP is $35,175, so Invoice is $2475 below MSRP. Discounts off Invoice price above: $1500 Ford incentive 500 AQHA (American Quarter Horse Assoc. - must be member 60 days prior to purchase) 150 Off dealer holdback (I had other dealers offer $300 off, but I liked this guy) $2150 TOTAL off Invoice $4625 TOTAL off MSRP $30,550 Price I paid, before tax and license. Oh, and I absolutely LOVE the Taurus X. It drives better than I imagined. Got up to 28 MPG with over an hour of driving on a flat freeway at 60 MPH, and 25 MPG over an hour of steep rolling hills at 70 MPH. Everyone stops and gathers around it when I stop. The kids love the room and DVD player. My teen daughter loves the satellite radio, and I love the navigation and front control panel for everything. I also didn't completely realize just how big the Taurus X is compared to other cars. It's even a touch bigger than an Explorer, and similar to most full size SUVs a step down from the Expeditions. It's good for maneuvering, yet lots of space for the family. And I'm no longer riding down low with the sedans any more, like I did with my Sable Wagon. It has plenty of power and feels real precise and easy to maneuver when driving around, while giving a soft and very quiet ride. The SYNC is also a real delight, with all the interconnection and integration between everything. Of everything on the car, only the voice recognition needs help. I hate repeating or confirming everything all the time. It went from 25% to 50% first-command-acceptance after I trained it, but I hope to eventually get 90% after I learn how to say things properly. I also think the microphone isn't set up right, and I'm far away with the seat all the way back as a big guy. People say they hear some echo's and my voice is weak when I use the phone.

04 Excursion for $1,237 UNDER Invoice Plus $1,500 Rebate
by schutzhund on Wed Nov 12 00:11:01 PST 2003
I LOVE my Excursion, and the deal I got made it even better! I contacted the dealer thru email via Ford's internet dealer locator service (113 dealers in all sent the email) with the same email detailing what I wanted. I got the 4x4 Limited 6.0 PSD, DVD, 3.73 Limited Slip, Skid Plate, Trailer Tow mirrors & cargo mat. Pricing, including 795 dest charge: MSRP was 52,755 Invoice was 46,175 My price was 44,938, or $1,237 under invoice, less ANOTHER $1,500 rebate and a full tank of diesel! This was their initial offer with no haggling. And only 16 miles on this new vehicle! No other charges except the $45 Doc Fee and Sales Tax. My husband loves it too, especially since I will not let him drive it and he gets driven everywhere now. The tow mirrors are something else, what with the extra mirror at the bottom of them to remove the blind spot. We bought it at Elm Ford in Woodland, CA (10 miles outside the Sacramento airport). (Don't confuse them with Woodland Hills in southern CA). They picked us up at the airport, too. Besides having an unbelievable price, they were also nice people. If you want a truck or an excursion, I strongly suggest you email them.
