Such a good experience purchasing our first Buick from Josh at Carl Black

My thanks to Josh for the excellent service helping us purchase our first Buick. From our initial meeting and over the course of the past few weeks as we worked through colors and options, he educated and communicated so we were able to make the right decision for our family. This isn't our first GM vehicle, but is our first Buick, and the experience has been ideal. In addition to working with Josh we also worked with Ali, who helped back Josh up and took time out of his day to deliver the exact vehicle we were looking for. Raheim in finance made the process a breeze, helping set us with the exact loan we were looking for. Hector the sales manager helped drive the right price, and we are now proud owners of a 2019 Buick Encore. Thanks again to the whole Carl Black team for your help!

Deal of the year

We are the proud owners of a new Terrain Denali. The whole GMC/Buick team seemed to get involved in getting us the deal we wanted. Deciding on the vehicle was no problem at all, we pretty much decided on it after checking out the cargo space on a few and then test driving a few. The finance people went the extra mile to get us the best deal possible. The sales team continues to support us in the days following the sale.

New 2019 Buick Envision

There is good news and bad news. Let's start with the good news. My wife and I visited several car dealers and we liked the salesman we met at Carl Black. John Polk was absolutely professional. We came in thinking we wanted a Chevy Equinox or GMC Terrain and we looked at the specs and amenities of both. He then suggested that we take a look at the Buick Envision. Much nicer appointments than the other two vehicles and when we test drove it the ultra-quiet ride sealed the deal. After completing our due diligence in looking at other dealerships we decided to buy the Buick Envision that John showed us. When we returned to Carl Black John was not there, but Dowain Nemes took us under his arm and we were treated with the same professionalism as John Polk provided to us. We sat down with the sales manager and worked the numbers and got to a number we felt comfortable. From the time we arrived to the time we shook hands with the sales manager was an hour to hour and a half. That is all the good news. Now the bad news. Once we agreed on a price there was only one more step to complete the sale, the finance office. We were seated in a lobby area, handed a remote control to the television and said we would be called "shortly" to see the finance manager. Not clear to us what the Carl Black Finance Office thinks a short time is, but apparently it is more than two hours. Finally I went back to the sales manager and asked if we should come back tomorrow. He did some checking and said we would be seen next. So we waited some more, then Glory to God, we were directed to the Finance Office. Let me say it took us less time to test drive the car, get all our questions answered, and negotiate a fair price with the sales manager than it took to complete the paperwork at the Finance Office and we paid cash. No loan applications, no credit checks, no down payments, just plain old cash. My recommendation is definitely visit Carl Black and work with any of their sales staff. They are first class and definitely know all the details of their cars. If you decide to buy a car order a pizza, soft drinks, and settle in for a long wait to clear through the Finance Office.

The last 2018 Traverse in Cajun Red

My wife had been looking for a leftover 2018 Traverse LT1-cloth in Cajun Red for numerous weeks in our local market (Brevard County) and were unable to find one. We traveled as far as 80 miles away looking at LT1-cloth in the wrong color trying to get a good deal. The Sales crew at Carl Black were great, treated us with respect. Didn't try to pressure us into something else or any unessary "add ons" and I deal we got a fair deal for all parties. John L, salesman, Bryan, Dales manager and great folks on finance treated us well. The next GM vehicle we buy will also come from Carl Black.

Recent Purchase, Pre Owned, Saw Online

My search for Denalli, 4x4, not Black, left me with few choices within reasonable driving distance from my home. There for, I did as much shopping online as possible. Following up with phone calls once finding vehicle reasonably priced. It is easy to quickly get turned off to certain dealerships through this process. I was pleased to speak with Carry in the internet sales dept. She answered questions directly and appropriately and made no attempt to mislead me or misrepresent the truth. It was Her professional and friendly voice that led me to go to Carl Black GMC first. Carry gave me the name of the manager working that day and advised him that I would be coming by to look at vehicle. I was greeted by friendly young man named Matt Miller. He introduced me to manager then showed me around the vehicle I was there to see. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and it's many modern technological features that I was not used to. He was extremely kind and easy to talk to. We took vehicle for test drive and I agreed to purchase vehicle if we were able to reach comfortable selling price. I was happy to know that they were open to offers. Many dealerships are getting away from negotiating price on used vehicle, but will not tell you that until your at dealership. Matt turned out to be the sales person responsible for negotiating the purchase price. process went as I would expect, back and forth a couple times to manager office, both parties giving in some until deal was made. I never felt pressured or as if there were any funny sales tactics being used. Matt was great to work with and his manager was reasonable and fair. Deal was made. Finished up with Hector in finance office. Hector is 25+ year Vet serving in the USN. I have great respect for his service to our country. He was not pushy at all with the add on's at the end. My only negative comments would be: 1) I was told I would receive top dollar for trade as this dealership works with used car dealer to resale trade ins. This is not true if you vehicle has higher mileage. I was offered a low number for my trade with 154K miles and told it would go to auction. This was worked out in negotiation process. 2) the dealership has installed a aftermarket rear brake light system which blinks top mount brake light. It is supposed to make vehicle safer and most likely does. the dealership then adds $398 to price of vehicle. I was told it was non negotiable even after I told them to get rid of it. I wasn't in mood to fight them over it. Who knows it may save me and my family from getting rear ended some day. Other than those two items. I was extremely happy with my experience.

One of the best dealers we've dealt with, hands down! From the moment you park and get off your car there's always someone to greet you and assist in any way possible, even if they are not the person you are looking for. We worked directly with Josh Patterson, and we definitely recommend him. He is knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, he knows his business all around, he is fast and will work to help you find exactly the car/truck you are looking for, and will help you during the negotiation process. We are extremely satisfied with Josh's assistance. We also had the opportunity to meet Marissa, the front-desk receptionist/greeter, she is awesome! Always with a big smile on her face, making sure every single customer was taken care of and making sure all the sales desks and chairs were clean and ready for the next customer. This is actually the first time that we encounter this type of attention and service at a dealer from someone other than the sales person. I always pay attention to every single detail whenever I am making a purchase because I work in sales and customer service to me is extremely important. Last but not least we met Mr. Hector Jimenez he is the finance manager, he is great! He was able to help us acquire the extended & gap insurance we needed for our new truck at a very reasonable price...basically he gave us peace of mind at a price we couldn't reject! I have to say that the service and attention we received in this dealer shows that they have a great leader! I would like to congratulate upper management, your team is awesome! Treated the WORST by Carl Black dealership

Had to sit and wait 8 hours and never even met finance manager. This dealership needs new managers. The managers there can't manage cars, let alone people. I was a returning customer who couldn't ever get anyone to provide any help. I went to a different dealership, and easily got the help I was looking for quickly. Too bad. I will never, ever, go back to this dealership, and would recommend a different dealership to any friends or family. Getting nice, courtesy help with a new car shouldn't be so difficult for this dealership to provide.

Raheim and Rodney are the best. Buying a car can be a very untrusting situation. There are a lot of skeptics out there and I was one of them until I came here. Raheim and Rodney helped push any insecurities away from speaking with a sales person. They were after my best interests and took the time to explain everything. I never felt the pressured to buy. Very professional and caring and I will be recommending them to a lot of people.

2015 GMC Sierra

Great Service

On May 25 took my daughter to Carl Black to see if she was able to purchase a vehicle. I have purchased my 2013 cruz from them and received great service from them . when we arrived we met up with Brando our sales rep. Very nice and very respectful. He spoke directly to my daughter and did not make her feel dumb. He answered all our questions and understood what we came in looking for. she did her homework and decided on her car. We then got to speak to Ish who is one nk of the managers. Again very nice person do made us feel like family. Listened to our concerns and our budget and made sure we drove out with what she wanted. No games no gimmicks no 3 card monty. My daughter is very happy and so am i. We will be going back..Great place.

New Volt Owner

Adrian Zavagnini was very nice, and listened to what I wanted. He didn't just try to put me in a car that he had. Instead he suggested looking for exactly the car that I wanted in the color I wanted. I realize that I may not have gotten a steal on the car, but I feel it was a fair deal for both of us. I appreciate the fact that he did not try to do any high pressure sale tactics on me. I have that in the past at other dealers, and I don't react well to that sort of behavior. Adrian was very patient with me even charging a Volt up before a second visit so that I could try driving it only on battery two days three days later. So, I will both recommend Carl Black and will definitely recommend Adrian as the Sales Associate to talk to.
