Terrible experience, stay away!

I had previously leased 3 vehicles from Gunther through the same salesperson (9 years). Last week I was given a firm price for a Lease on a New Tiguan and the next day went for the test drive, after the test drive and liking the car, the price was jacked up $14 a month, no price increase before the test drive, only after we liked it. The salesperson informed me that Janos Turoczi (Sales Manager) told him that was the new price. I wrote to Vinnie (General Manager) and Jay Gunther (Owner) about the situation and no one seemed to care. I guess this is their new sales tactics. They are acting like a used car lot that customers dread going to.

I totaled my car 3 weeks before and I was just getting ideas, but was offered a lease deal which was so good I could not refuse. No pressure, just professional people doing a good job. I love my car and enjoyed the experience.

Had a wonderful experience here, bought a beautiful Mazda 3 pre-owned, Our sales person was Bob Russell, who treated us with courtesy and respect. Pete, Bob, and Lloyd stayed at the dealership with us till after 9 pm, making sure we were taken care of professionally. It was a great experience, and I love my car so much! Really happy we came here to buy my car!

Best car buying experience I have ever had

I had just had a car accident the Tuesday before the Saturday I bought my car...it was not my fault but my car was totaled and I was devastated. I decided that since the last time I bought a car for practicality I was going to buy a car that I really enjoyed this time. So a friend of mine helped me research and we found exactly the car I wanted at Gunther Fort Lauderdale in immaculate condition (or so it seemed online). I was nervous that the car would be gone by the time I got to the dealership so I wanted to get there first thing on Saturday. I met Frank as soon as we got to the used car section of the dealership and told him what I was there for. I test drove the car and fell in love with it - it was definitely in great condition and exactly what I wanted - Frank was exceptional with all the information I needed to know regarding the car and I was happy to hear it was certified which made a huge impact on my purchase decision. I was impressed with Frank's knowledge about VW and learned even more about the car I was interested in buying than I expected to.I met Pete also who helped me out a bit in the decision making process by giving me an offer I couldn't refuse. Last but not least, Zaid was really helpful with figuring out what my needs were with regards to financing - he went the extra mile to make sure it was something I was happy with. I have purchased many cars in my lifetime, some new and some used, and I must say that this was the best car buying experience I have ever had in my life. I will definitely recommend Frank and Gunther as a whole for a smooth and painless experience and dare I say, enjoyable experience. I will be back when I need a replacement someday - in the meantime I will enjoy my new "used" VW Golf as long as I can.

We were looking for a VW Jetta SE W/Connectvity and Gunther had it the one we wanted. The price was very easy to negociate. The salesman Tomas did not disappear once to go ask the manager anything he had all the answers and the authority he neede to approve the sales price. I also felt Tomas was direct and honest about what he could do. The finance manager for closing and signing all the paper work was also very good. He was honest with all the extra options and did try and talk us into buying something we did not want or need. It has been a week since we bought this car and feel great about our purchase. I have to say it is rare the buy a car and a week later not feel like I was cheated. The only thing that I would like to see improved is the time it takes to get the paper work ready. Once it was ready it only took 10 or 15 minutes to review and sign. I hope to buy more cars from Gunther and experience that I bought a great car without being scammed or pressured.

After being frustrated with shopping at my local dealership who told me the sticker price was the final price, I decided to price my daughter's first car using Edmunds. My local dealer internet sales manager still told me the sticker was the price after pricing it. I decided to send the car I was looking for out for a Edmunds qoute. Gunther's internet sales guy's sales representative Eric called within an hour of submitting the request and blew away everyone's price, including a local friend and car broker. I drove 52.6 miles waiting for a bait and switch with my daughter and wife. I walked into the dealership and Eric was waiting for me. We had filled out most of the paperwork on the phone on the way up, but he needed my signiture before the transaction could happen. He had the car filled with fuel and ready to drive off when we arrived. We looked at the car and it was exactly as he said. After a sigh of relief, we filled out the paperwork, did the finance papers, and still no BS. I was stunned as well as my wife. She has been with me on some really bad car buying experiences. All I can say is 25 years ago I said if there was just a dealership that would treat people fairly, it would walk away with the sales. Even the wait for the finance paperwork was no big deal since they have the coolest dealership I have ever been in. It was filled with old VW's all over the showroom, amazing pieces of art, a gift shop, and refreshments. WOW is all I can say. The sales person Eric showed my daughter how to use the blue tooth to play music off her Iphone and how to operate all the features of the car. I cannot say enough great things about this dealer! Go to Edmunds, price the vehicle, and request a quote. I am thrilled!!! Thanks Gunther VW!!!

I bought a new VW, reasonable price, good salesperson. I had tire/wheels from another car to put on my new VW. The salesperson got a commitment from the parts manager to but my OEM wheels and tires. One month after I drop them off, no check, no deal. "Come pick your tires up," was the answer. The sales person could not get her managers to honor the deal we had made. How do you trust a dealership like this?
