2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE or SE value invoice

Can anyone pls advise if the published invoices found in the internet is accurate? Is this the same invoice if you pay a few hundred dollars to Edmunds, Autobytel, etc.? Do the dealers have more than 1 invoice? Also, can anyone pls confirm the fees and w/c ones are non-negotiable? I'm in the SF Bay Area (CA) and ready to buy but research may be inaccurate. Looks like invoice postings vary between states and forumers? Is the calculation below correct? Please let me know w/c dealers gave great deals. Read somewhere that there are other discounts - friends/family (1% under invoice), Chrysler mag coupon (750), conquest (500), etc. What’s the difference between Dodge SE vs SE Value (free stow n go $945)? Appreciate your advises/help. DODGE SE invoice - 19,648 dest - 770 20,418 24H pkg 3,247 vs. Chrysler LX - 2,596 Ent grp #1 1,866 25,531 tax (8.75) 2,,234 27,765 vs. Chrysler LX - 28,596 ADD or SUBTRACT FEES doc fee ? ca emission fee ? color adjustment ? title/license (dmv registration) ? add dealer markup ? regional adjustmnt ? tire tax ? tag transfer ? eec file ? LESS non-negotiable? dlr holdback - 766 minivan loyalty - 1,000 cust cashback - 1,500 FINAL COST - ?

kbb.com nada.com used car appraiser. If a 41500 msrp dodge ram (probably 43000 msrp for 08) with nav and such`wholesales used in 12 months (07) for $20000, buying it (an 08) for any less than 15000-16000+ off msrp is financially painful. Your target for a leftover low mi new 07 (41000 msrp) is about $22000 or so. Somewhere around 24000-26000 on an 08. (preferably closer to the lower) Forget about edmunds TMV on new vehicles. It is many times optimistic (for the dealer) and grossly optimistic for trucks. (I wonder what it is on a new 08 42000 ram?-- worth 20000 wholesale in a 12 months) Check out my message 4681 on the hyundai sonata forum for useful info on how to buy a car. Forget about bringing in paperwork for negotiating. Get 10-20 + bids via email from dodge dealers last week of the month for 08s. Work the top 2-3 against one another, eventually via cell phone. If your leftover 07 dealer won't chop at least 2000-3000 off your best deal on a similar 08 forget about it. Good luck --jjf

Is this a new leftover 07? I don't know, are you nuts? You mean for paying as much as you want otd.? The 36000 msrp 07 models sold for 12000+ off msrp all day long 8 months ago. I would want at least 13000-14000 off a 08 $41000 dodge 1500. Possibly more if the msrp increase from 07 is sizeable. You should be able to get a new 08 like you stated for about your price or less, assuming 2500 or so is tax. Lookup your 07 vehicle used on kbb.com and nada.com with 14000 miles on it. If it is new with low miles (1000) add about $1000-2000 or so to the wholesale used price for the price of a leftover new 07. Don't be surprised if you can work almost as good a deal as 30k otd on a new 08 amongst other dealers and your dealer won't play ball. They like to work these leftovers and demos for like new money. Its almost an ego thing. Add about 15-20% or so (about 5500-6000 I guess) to the used wholesale 07 price for a target on a new 08. Looking to get a real good deal on an '07 Ram Quad Cab 1500 SLT w/ Sprt package, Nav, Tow, Protection, Hemi, etc. MSRP is 41,500. Dealer offering $8000 in rebates. I think I can get an otd price before rebate to 30000-32500. Am I nuts? I really think you can play hardball with these trucks right now. Any help would be great. Thanks

Our plate registrations are in the $100-300 range as well, depending on MSRP of the vehicle new as well.. Even @ 3 months into your 3rd year, can you transfer your plate for the remaining 9 months to another vehicle for a smaller fee in CA? In MI, we have a $19 registration/plate transfer fee that allows you to keep whatever plate you have until your next birthday, assuming it has already been paid for on the prior vehicle.

Re: 27mo leases. I think it might be that way in Michigan, but in California is definitely not the same. Our car registrations are not $25 or so, depending on the car you drive, it can range from $100 to $300. So if you get a 27month lease, You must pay your 3rd year's registration after the 24th month, drive your car for 3 months and get a new one. A $25k car can have a registration fee of around $230-240, not exactly nit-picking in my book. But every state is different so I'm not trying to discredit your statement. You do have some valid points.
