OK......no, you are not crazy for walking. What type of trade in? How much did you pay for it? How much did you already invest in its purchase? Tell them 24,5 out the door which includes TTL....crazy? No. Why? There are plenty of dealers out there.

i gave up on the idea... but 36%!!!! after 2 years???!!! OMG! OK, ok, so its basically 3 years since it is so late already ... or 3.5 years. But still, how great would it be to get a 30k mile Magnum RT for a third of its original price. That's like $10k! Maybe $12k-$13k retail. I just don't see that happening. I'd LOVE for it to happen so I can get one real cheap ... but it won't.
Outrageous lease quote!
by kem_7 on Thu Aug 17 18:44:17 PDT 2006
OK, I'm a little confused here. I went to a Dodge dealer tonight to get a quote for a lease on a 2006 Charger R/T. I have a Saturn Vue that still has ~$1400 in lease payments left. DCX is currently offering Employee Pricing on Chargers, and the one I was looking at would come out to a base price of $28,000 with Employee Pricing. OK, I'm fine with that....here's what I don't get. The dealer came back with a quote of $900 down and $650/month!!!! This is before any credit checks / financing issues / etc....is it just me or does that seem a tad HIGH??? Even if you roll in the remaining lease payments, that would put my base at like $30k....since when does any $30k car come out with a LEASE price of $650/month?? This was the 27/27 term. I just don't get it. And this is for an '06 model when they've got a lot FULL of 06's and 2007's coming off the trucks already. Um, HELLO?? Anyone have any idea how I can get a Charger that's actually REASONABLE?? For $650/month, I'm gonna walk down the street to the BMW dealer and park myself in a 7-series! Anyway...any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
Re: 2006 Magnum RT vs 2006 Murano SE AWD lease [arch1sf]
by Car_man on Thu Mar 09 02:37:08 PST 2006
Thanks for the additional information, arch1sf. OK, if you were to lease a 2006 Dodge Magnum RT 2WD with an MSRP of $35,675 and a selling price of $34,500 through Chrysler Financial right now for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around $584. If you were to lease a 2006 Nissan Murano SE AWD with an MSRP of $38,055 and a selling price of $35,900 through NMAC right now for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, its zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around a much more reasonable $480. Keep in mind though that most smart consumers who shop around can easily beat the TMV prices that are listed here at Edmunds.com. Car_man Host Smart Shopper / Prices Paid Forums

Don't worry about it, Tony, community members leave out this sort of information all the time. OK, if you were to lease a 2006 Dodge Charger SXT with an MSRP of $26,345 and a selling price of $23,517 through Chrysler Financial right now for 36 months with 12,000 miles per year, its zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around $355. Looking to buy a new T&C or DGC 2006 loaded
by cookiemom on Sat Mar 04 06:45:29 PST 2006
OK I read all your post, but didn't find what I wanted to see so here goes; for those of you that want to be mean please don't, I understand this might hurt you! I'm not sure how you all find out the price the dealer paid for the car at? I just hope I can get a good price from the dealer without knowing this? or tell me how! OK, I have to finance it and also have the trade. I know I'll be upside down. I just gotta know this going into it. They don't give you something for nothing! So should I wait til I'm NOT upside down? Because of the car which is an 03 GM and I had to finance it for 72 months, I know I'll be several years waiting! I am old and don't like base models, sorry. I went down to the closes dealer and found out that they have a T&C Sg Tour with a lot of equipment, and I like their Limited, except the price. Although we like the limited. I have to try to compair the equipment with both cars. I know what the differences are or I think I do. By their brocher. I started looking at the DGC SXT first. The two T&C or DGC look so much alike it isn't funny. Except colors they offer can be a bit different. Packages about the same. I did the build the car on both and I look at all the dealers in my zip code on line. I did find some close to what I want, but not that close. Here is another question; What should I pay? Since I see you all talking about this. How do you start with the dealer to get the best price as you all did? Please I could use any help. Thanks
