Residual is calculated from the MSRP. Rebates are part of the negotiation. If a dealer quotes a final price, you need to ask if that is with or without the rebates. What you ideally want is a price something like $100 over invoice OR LESS and THEN subtract the rebates. So if $2k in rebates, then you want $2k under invoice as your final price.

The only concerns with a car sitting for 2 years are the fluids. If there was gas sitting in there, it is in bad shape by now. And the oil may not look bad, but it should be changed, too. Well, it can't hurt to make an offer. The worst they can do is say no.

what kind of help are you looking for? I assume pricing? It is really really tough to price something like that. I mean, I would say price a used one and subtract for miles. All I can tell you is that I recently saw one just like you describe but with 5k miles advertised for $21,995. Even if we assume paying full asking price on that one, and we allow for 20 cents per mile, then I would say one with zero miles should be around $23k.

Actually, its the Caliber. And considering the Caliber was styled after the Magnum originally, it is the other way around.

All ya gotta do is give them a call and start talkin' turkey. :) But don't put yourself in a pressure cooker. Call well before the end of your lease. At least 2 months, I'd say.
