2008 T & C -- Several questions....
by mssooz on Fri Apr 11 12:37:50 PDT 2008
My hubby and I and our expanding family are getting ready to purchase a 2008 T & C Limited any minute now. We've been given a F & F discount code. Another friend has asked a Chrysler employee to sign us up for the Employee Discount. He has my information and I'm waiting on the email but now I see that the Employee Discount has been discontinued. Darn the luck. So I guess I'm expecting 1% below invoice. Can you please confirm that the dealer will show me the invoice and the PP (preferred pricing) will be listed in plain old black and white for me? I understand that I can take a $1500 rebate instead of great financing (check around -- you can get great financing at a local credit union). I called the rebate center and found out about an additional $1000 rebate if you already own a Chrysler product. I asked the rep how you prove that you own a Chrysler product if you don't drive it there. She said that you have to provide the last 8 digits of a VIN and that they might ask you to show a registration or something. Well, until very recently, I owned a Jeep and I have a large file of service records, extended warranty information, etc. on it and could easily provide the last 8 digits of a VIN to save an additional $1,000. But if they're going to grill me and force me to sign over the rights to my next born, I'm not going to push the issue of trying to save an additional $1,000. Can anyone tell me based on their real life recent buying experience, what you had to provide in order to get the $1,000 rebate for owning a Chrysler product? Also, I'm pricing the new van with the M package and a moonroof. I'm told that the L package is cheaper and that I can get a moonroof with that, but the www.chrysler.com website won't let me. Any answers to any of my questions would be greatly appreciated. Personal email is mssooz@swbell.net Suzi
Look at 48 mos leases on Dodge's website!!!
by billwfriend on Fri Feb 02 08:46:58 PST 2007
I priced out a loaded SE, getting the net price up near 17k. A 39mos lease with 0 down and 15k miles a year = 298/mos totalling $11,662. Take that lease to 48mos, and it's only $211 per mos totalling $10,182. Gee, do I want to pay $11,662 for use of the same vehicle over 39mos, or pay $10,182 for use over 48 mos! I've got a dealer looking into this apparent issue with Dodge.com 'build and price' lease pricing. If this is for real, and Dodge wants to lose money by having people lease for 4 years instead of 3, I'm all for it!!!
How was this deal?
by chstr1000 on Tue Jan 09 17:49:25 PST 2007
I live in Missouri and just purchased a 2004 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 SLT with the Hemi engine & 5-spd auto, 20" wheels, brand new Goodyear tires, and most power options. It has 63,xxx miles and was a local 1 owner trade-in. It is white and silver outside, dark gray cloth inside. Super nice straight truck with no body work ever. I paid $15,000. Not bad for a truck that retails for over $21,000. Thanks, David
