This is the first time I've purchased an upscale car, so I wasn't certain what to expect. I suppose a certain amount butt-kissing and much lower pressure gradient, inasmuch as the sales staff was concerned was what I was looking forward to. What I got was a very personable salesman who let the car sell itself and a sales manager who really only showed up to help my salesman when he was off-duty. There was absolutely no pressure. I got the impression that it didn't really matter if I bought a car or not, especally if it didn't fit my lifestyle, budget or tastes. Considering that I drew the buying process out over 4 months, I have to hand it to them for not pestering me every three days to make sure I was still interested. One thing that stands out in my mind is the effort they went through to ensure our questions were adequately addressed. They went so far as to bring in a previous customer's vehicle so we could see what a particular color looked like 'in the flesh'. In my opinion, ths counts as above-and-beyond service. When it came to crunch time, my sales associate treated me with the repect due a customer who had done his homework, and we kept haggling down to about 10 very civil minutes. The post-sales paperwork was handled by a sister dealership, and we were treated to a quick and painless session of signatures and a handshake. No mention of extended warrenties, undercoating, UFO insurance, or other extranious and expensive add-ons was mentioned. My only complaint is that I feel I was low-balled considerably with respect to my trade-in. Thier appraiser came in $2000 under Kelly Blue Book trade in value, and I was told that his word was law, and there was no room for movement. True? I have no idea...I can only chalk it up to the fact that I got my price point on my new car and wasn't using the trade as a part of the purchase price...they had me over a barrel in this respect, and knew it. Live and learn. Overall, though, I'm very happy with the trouble-free nature of the transaction, and would deal with them again.
