When my husband said, "You should get a new car," he could have been saying"you should have a couple of root canals." I dreaded going out to look but the day finally came and after meeting two very disinterested salesmen at Ford, we zipped into McDonald Hyundai on our way to Toyota. There we met Roger Jensen, who showed us the bright red Elantra Touring car and answered many questions. Not ready to drive it yet (we were faithful Toyota drivers), we continued on to Toyota and found Toyota really had no comparable model. After a restless night, we went driving in the Hyundai with Roger. I was expecting heavy pressure to buy but it was quite the contrary. We had a lot of laughs and tested the car in various conditions. It performed well and after a trip to Toyota for old time's sake, we decided to buy the ElantraTouring, even though I was concerned about mountain driving. Roger said he wanted us to be happy and arranged for us to try the car in the mountains (with a 50 mile limit) and if it did not perform, the car could come back. That little beauty zipped right up those mountains and she is now in the garage. So far, the MPG has been at or above the predicted numbers. I know a long love-affair has begun. Many thanks to Roger Jensen, manager John and the rest of the crew at McDonald Hyundai for making the whole experience fun and rewarding! I look forward to returning for regular service on the car.
