Researching3.. The Murano is certainly a nice vehicle. A good friend of mine owns one and likes it, so I'd certainly give it a try. He, however, doesn't need quite so much room or a third row so it makes sense for him. I believe he's on his second year with it. I'd be inclined--at this point--to wait for it's replacement which is due in a year or two. I would recommend the Pacifica without reservation. Although I've only had mine for 4 months and 7500 miles, it never ceases to surprise me with it's performance, room, comfort, relative economy and handling. For the record, it has been trouble free and my 5 Star Dealer falls over themselves to make sure I knoq to come to them if problems arise. They twice provided me new loaner cars when my Pacifica was having accessories installed that required an overnight stay. Also when it was discovered that it came from the factory with a misshapen rotor. Instead of simply replacing the bad rotor, they replaced both rotors, and the brake pads and discs--fearing that the vibration may have damaged or worn both. Lastly, as a longtime member of this board dating back to 1999, I feel compelled to provide a history lesson. There have ALWAYS been individuals (at least two) who log on with new profiles claiming to be "owners" who complain about how bad their Chrysler vehicles are. The stories are horrendous--translation unlikely and unbelievable. They are easy to spot because they keep their emails private and they create a profile the same day or within a week of posting their "catastrophic" experience. I believe we are seeing one or two of them here now. Your Chrysler will likely be as reliable and competent a domestic vehicle as you'll find. My last several have been. Cheers and happy motoring..!
Re: Touring vs. Limited [music287]

Music287. First, I've enjoyed my new Touring and continue to be impressed. I dropped it off at my dealer for the accessories to be installed (splash guards and fog lights). I believe, relative to the Limited, that the seats have some minor differences and a few ancillary items might be different, including the wheels--though the two signature editions I've seen had 19" wheels and were fairly "loaded". If you like the colors, options, and packages, I'd suggest the signature edition. I believe the $1500 will still apply as it lasted beyond the first deadline. Good luck and let us know..
Re: Price Check: '07 Touring FWD [new_2_board]

In my estimation "New 2", that's a reasonably good deal. Essentially you've gotten the $1500 cash back offered on all Tourings and Limiteds (from Chrysler), plus $1333 off of MSRP. You can double check with Edmunds TMV-which I personally believe is dealer friendly-and see what they say. I would say it's a solid deal. If you enjoy "the hunt", you might counter with 25,700 or 25,500; especially if you are financing through them. Best wishes and please let us know of your experience.
2007 Pacifica buying experiences?
by Jason5 on Fri Dec 22 18:30:07 PST 2006
I'm 80% certain that I'll be buying a new 07' Pacifica in the next week or so. Between the $1500 cash back and $1000 Premiere Event coupon, I'm feeling the need to take the plunge. The only sticking point is what folks are wrangling off MSRP at this time. I'd like to offer up my trade, the cash back, the Premiere event coupon and try and come off of MSRP at least $1000. Any one else pricing or attempting to deal on an 07', specifically a Touring FWD?

I'd like everyone to know there are deals to be had on 300c's if you are willing to look around. I live in New Jersey and I couldnt find a dealer in my area that would budge on the sticker price. Using the internet I located a fully loaded midnight blue 300c at Reedmans, Langhorne, Pa. The wife and I took the 1 hour ride out there yesterday. The sticker was $38,630. After negotiating with the sales mgr for almost an hour the dealership discounted the car by $1530 and an additional $1000 because our 300m was financed thru chrysler financial. Total cost out the door was $36,100, though I will have to pay sales tax when I register it in NJ. The car is gorgeous, the hemi is powerful, and the navigation/boston acoustics stereo is awesome. I highly recommend this car to anyone in the market for a new set of wheels. The best part of this deal is my wife says she is fine using the 300m as her personal car and I get to drive the 300c!

That's actually not a bad price. I would check the New Car section (not used) and look at the 2003 models to get an idea of how much the 2003 LXi went for. Also don't forget the rebates offered. I would assume there was a $3k-$4k rebate at the timeof purchase. So take the Invoice price minus the rebate minus the first year depreciation. shued: I think you are mixing up the LX with the LXi. The LXi is a higher line then the LX. I believe that lists in the mid to low $30's.
