Re: Dealer Invoice and Two Offers [pvignuolo]

Finally, both dealers claim that their invoice amount is approximately $600.00 more than the Edmunds invoice amount. Is this correct? I am located in central New Jersey Go to the Chrysler website and click on the Build My Own tab. Configure a vehicle exactly like what the dealer is offering and email me the details, including the MSRP. If you include central NJ zip code I will tell you what the Friends price would be for each vehicle. It is around 1% below invoice before any rebates or other incentives. Rebates vary by region. Some people have posted that they've bought for less than the Friends discount price by using methods such as a fax attack. Anyway, you'll have something to go on if you know the Friends discount price, whether you have a code or not.
Dealer Invoice and Two Offers
by pvignuolo on Wed Apr 23 19:58:21 PDT 2008
I am currently considering two offers for T&C Sig Series. Both vehicles are Deep Crimson. One has the $1,300.00 MYGIG, the other the $900.00 Security Group. The first has an MSRP of $34,025.00, an invoice of $31,067.00 (per Edmunds) and the dealer is offering to sell it for $31,295.00 before incentives. The second has an MSRP of $33,625.00, an invoice of $30,715.00 (per Edmunds) and the dealer is offering to sell it for $30,625.00. I recognize that the second offer is better, but I guess my question is: Are these offers good for the vehicle? Finally, both dealers claim that their invoice amount is approximately $600.00 more than the Edmunds invoice amount. Is this correct? I am located in central New Jersey. Thanks in advance.
Three looong weeks and worth it
by daixchr on Thu Jan 24 20:10:23 PST 2008
We just bought a new 2006 Crossfire Limited coupe from a dealer in NY over eBay. My wife thought I was nuts until the car arrived. It took three looong weeks to ship from NY to CA, and she loves it. It was kind of fun to check the progress each day, but a little frustrating to see it sit at the same terminal in the middle of the country for days at a time. I clicked Buy-It-Now for $20,384. Window sticker was $37,580. Had to pay $1,271 for shipping from NY to CA, but still a great deal for a new car with 10 miles on the odometer. We're looking for a Crossfire club somewhere near the central California coast. Any ideas where local clubs can be found?
Re: Employee price is actually higher (worse) !!! [blueyonder]

Actually, I think I made out a bit better yesterday when I bought the only T&C Touring in white with the trailer tow group left anywhere in central FL. We had looked in April for a Touring with trailer tow, leather, adjustable pedals, and side curtain airbags. We would have had to order and the balance after trade in would have been almost 11 grand including tax, tags, and dealer fee. Yesterday we bought a Touring with trailer tow, leather group, and luxury group. The luxury group had some stuff I didn't really need, but at least the car wasn't loaded up with DVD, satellite radio, sunroof, etc. The quoted price before trade and less TT&DF was $27,960. This is $680 BELOW today's Edmunds TMV of $28,640! The side curtain airbags option was the most expendable of our original wants and the backup sensor system included in the luxury group will probably prove to be more useful in the long run. I really don't know how good a deal I got on my trade in because it was also a 2005 model (Subaru Forester I had for a year to the day) and I can't find any online book values for a 2005. But the price the dealer offered was right in line with my best uneducated estimate for trade in value, so at least I won't wake up in the middle of the night wondering why in h--l I bought on such impulse. my total difference was $11,917 everything included. Not bad considering I had just been noodling around on the internet in the morning and learned that the best dealer around still had this one car left. I called, we drove the 30 miles to see the car in person early in the afternoon. and were home again before 5 PM with a car my wife and I both agree should see us out, considering our ages and driving habits.
Re: 2006 T&C Touring in So Cal [arrosen]
by toro on Sat Aug 19 05:30:03 PDT 2006
At the end of July I purchased (not leased) a 2006 T&C Touring in central Ohio and these were the numbers: MSRP $31,285 Employee Disc $(3,386) Rebate $(2,500) Dealer Disc $( 899) Total Discounts $(6,785) Total + Tax + Title $24,500 I visited two other dealership that will not deal with me and fixed their prices at the employee discount. They kept telling me that the EP was lower than the invoice price and they couldn't go any lower. One of those kept calling me and I kept telling him to reduce his price but he never did. Also, I did the Consumer Report's Car Pricing thing but it did not help. CR's price was the same price that you get from edmunds.com (do not waste your money). I hope this helps someone.
Another FWD w/Sig pkg
by smttx on Tue Mar 28 09:21:27 PST 2006
I am looking at a gold FWD Pacifica with Signature pkg., traction control, side curtain airbags, moonroof, tire pressure sensor and 19" wheels (ugh!). MSRP is $35,335; dealer is offering to sell for $29,395. Is this a good deal? I'm in central Texas, if that matters. Thanks, Susan
