Ah, so Ms. Sakthorp you mean your final price was $1K under invoice. Since my dealer is offering $100 over invoice plus the $1500 rebate available right now that would put me $1400 under the invoice price. I'm betting that the offer will become sweeter in February when the current rebate expires... Jay

That seems like a good price. But, is the vehicle new or nearly new? They may be offering you a demonstrator or a former rental vehicle. My experience with dealers is that they sometimes offer nearly new vehicles to get you to buy a more expensive model.

I am interested in buying a 2006 base Caravan with the 4 cylinder engine. After rebate the price is $15,700. Is this a good price? Any information would be appreciated.

When the new LX line got going for the 300's and Magnum they were a long time getting up to the prior production level for the 300M/Intrepid/Concorde of over 900 a day, it was more like 400-500 a day with the new cars. And one of the areas local dealers I was talking to, who didn't have any Magnums at the time, said that the factory initially was building about 25 300's for every Magnum they built. The Magnum's rear area/lift gate which is kinda different I guess, was a real time consuming operation to install at first. Now the factory is building a lot more Magnums, which could level out the 300's production somewhat, altho it may not since they are running a lot of overtime to keep up, but it should put some Magnums in the showrooms soon. A dealer in my town only had one, and it was not the R/T either. I just checked ebay and there is a red R/T in Fort Worth on there at $31K so far. That isn't too far from MS, and the red is really sharp looking--same as in the commercial.
lease to own

Years ago, when I got my Volvo, we did just that. No money for a downpayment, but knew we'd end up keeping the car. We had a reasonable lease payment, and since it was a Volvo (great reputation for longevity), we leased for 72 months. At the end, we had gone over miles (but not by much), and our residual ended up being $4,000 LESS than the KBB value of the car. For us, it worked out great.

You may be mistaken on the loaner. In mid June, per a letter I have, Chrysler offered free loaners for the first 3yrs/36K miles to all Pacifica and Crossfire purchasers and lessee's. About a week later, I received the 'official' Service Contract that provides evidence of coverage. According to the contract, I'm entitled to a loaner for any mechanical or maintenance service. You might want to ask about it.
