Re: Leasing an 08 Sebring Touring Sedan Signature Series [tedebear]
by flygirldi on Wed Jan 09 17:57:19 PST 2008
Sorry for the confusion, the paperwork shows it as a Sebring Touring Signature series, but on the website you're correct, you just select Signature Series when building your own. So the car I've been quoted for at the dealer is an 08 Sebring Sedan Signature Series with a power sunroof as the only option. I'm in Detroit, MI the zip code I'm dealing in is 48075. The Friends price you list for this car is much cheaper than what the dealer gave me. He gave me $21,477. I thought that seemed high when I saw the employee price listed on the invoice as $20,533. The dealer took the invoice and I did not get to keep a copy. I appreciate you getting me this information and for also getting me a better estimate with my exact zip code. Thank you again for your efforts.

You have a few options, but buying more miles on your current lease is not possible. 1) keep driving and turn in at current rate, 48k miles and pay the mileage penalty (20c/mi? = $2400) 2) keep driving and turn in early. DCX often has lease pull ahead offers which take time, not mileage into account. So, you can turn in your vehicle at say 30 months, but you get to use the full 36k miles. That puts you at 4k miles over vs. 12k over for the full 36 mo. 3) Buy your vehicle at the end of the lease for the specified amount (or negotiate w/ finance company). You don't pay mileage penalties if you buy the vehicle at lease end. 4) Buy/lease another vehicle to save some miles on the current lease. Is a $2000 car good enough for 12k miles and still worth $1500 to sell later? 5) Sell your lease (leasetrader, etc) and get another vehicle w/ appropriate mileage.

NOT REALLY a good price, I'd shop around a lot more!!! did you check website and build one, see all the discounts available? Check my other posts from a month back on pricing here in Detroit area! You can't get Employee price anymore but dealers will still deal! Plus don't you get free maintainance and extended warranty now???

Where are you located? In Detroit, with a DCX employee's discount, you can save about $8-10k dollars!!! I post some price threads a few weeks ago you may want to check out. Also, stop by a Border's book store, and check out automotive news (near newspapers)..it's not a magazine, more of a weekly newspaper and in the far back are ALL the latest incentives.

Maybe this is a Detroit thing, but I was at dealership getting oil change last week and saw EP Plus on all the vehicles on showroom floor. What's this???
