Help! I'm a first-time car buyer (I usually lease) in Miami, FL and want to make sure I'm getting a good deal. I'm supposed to go in tomorrow and do the paperwork, but I wanted to check with the knowledgeable people here before going ahead with it. 2008 Town & Country Touring Signature List Price......$33090 Being Offered at......$23924 plus tax and tag. Is this a good deal? It seems OK to me, but then again I don't know much about this kind of thing Please help!! Jennifer Seems like a good deal, 27.5% discount off MSRP isn't too shabby. But, it doesn't hurt to try to negotiate some more. See if they can give you 30% or more off MSRP or let 23924 be what you pay OTD (includes taxes & dmv fees). It's your call.

residual
by aveghte on Tue Jul 22 10:44:45 PDT 2003
I probably would lease for 36 months or 48 months with 12K miles per year. By the way, does anybody know who is eligible to receive the $1000 lease loyalty credit? I heard that previous owners of Jeeps or Chrysler vehicles or competitive vehicles are eligible.
residuals for FWD Pacificas and 2005 model changes
by aveghte on Tue Jul 22 07:47:09 PDT 2003
I built a FWD Pacifica with the DVD Entertainment system, upgraded stereo system, leather seats, full-size spare tire and power lift gate and came up with a MSRP of around $34500. When I attempted to estimate lease payments on the Chrysler Financial web site, the residual was displayed as $6400 whether the term of the lease was 36, 39 or 48 months. Is this an error? Does anybody know what residuals are for these vehicles? Since this is a new model year, they may be low, but this is ridiculous! I was getting monthly lease payments of over $800! Also does anybody think there will be changes for the 2005 model year like a 5 speed transmission that will make it worthwhile to wait a year to purchase this vehicle? I guess the good deals are available now and that it is uncertain what the future will hold, but I would like to see a new model year for Chrysler to work the bugs out before I commit to purchasing or leasing this vehicle.
