Re: Should I take the plunge?? [therck]

I'm still trying to work this out... Error in the numbers; she thought I was going with the $4000 incentive, I was basing the numbers on $1k off and 0APR. So your OTD price was $33K on a 36,305MSRP?? I'm looking at that number on a car with an MSRP of $34500. Where are you?? I'm in NY; been dealing with a CT and NY dealer... I also went ahead and purchased CR's bottom line pricing report which states that dealer's invoice is really about 2K less than what they show you... But in the end it doesn't matter. What are you going to say "Well CR says your invoice is really $xx,xxx" They're going to shove the paper in your face and say "Its written right here". Oh well. I guess I'll keep trying. I know the CT dealer is holding back because I've gotten better discount (before incentives) off MSRP on higher priced PACs then the one she has.

Well, right now you are giving up $4K in rebates if you take the 0% financing. You might want to reconsider whether you want to finance, given the hefty rebates available. If you are dumping the CTS, it may go a long way toward paying for much of the cost of the new T&C, though I suppose like most new vehicles, the CTS has already taken a good hit on depreciation, being near to a 3 year old vehicle. There might not be many choices in leftover 2006 models if you wait until October, though Chrysler may give the dealers more incentives to unload them the longer you wait. Also, you could consider checking the Dodge dealers as well, since Grand Caravan is a twin of Town and Country.
Buying 2006 T&C
by bogz11 on Sun Sep 10 14:31:49 PDT 2006
I live 75miles south of Rockford Illinois I was wondering what kind of prices to expect on 2006 T&C LX and limited. This will be our fist minivan purchase currently have 04 cadillac cts and the only option I really care about is side airbags, room, and leather. Does anyone suggest a certain model? And should I wait until Oct to see if incentives are better? Right now we have 0%APR for 72 months! :)
Lease 2006 300c AWD
by jayps on Fri Apr 21 09:07:02 PDT 2006
Hi Car_man, I've read through the board and have learned a great deal from your comments but am also hoping you will confirm what I think I already know. I was at our Chrysler dealer here in CT this morning looking at a 300C. First let me say I really like the car. I had a 300M a few years back and although I didn't like the new 300 at first, it has grown on me. In any case, the lease deal quoted to me is as follows: This is for a 300C AWD. MSRP came to 37,730, Sale price 35,730 (the sale price includes the current Chrysler incentive of 1000 plus another 1000 off from the dealer. For a 36 mos lease, 15000 mi/yr, and zero down, they quoted 627/mo. What do you think? How does this stack up? Many thanks in advance!
2005 - good deal?
by laurat1 on Fri Mar 17 05:21:59 PST 2006
We have found a 2005 AWD (I think it is the 26S - leather, AM/FM CD, no cassette, no memory on seats - just to give an idea of which one it is) with 17,000 miles or so, great condition inside and out - certified through the dealer. They have offered it to us for $21,900 - good deal? Keep looking? We are new to this car and are not sure what they should be going for. We wouldn't mind looking for one with a bit more features, but this one is fine if a good deal. Another question - how is this in the snow? We are in southern CT - so we don't get a ton, but we get enough and live at the bottom of a long uphill driveway and my current Voyager Minivan has trouble getting out on slippery/snowy days.
December pricing

Would appreciate any input on how close to invoice or below invoice people are being quoted on the 300C. I met with a dealer in CT willing to sell a 300C at $100 above invoice. Is that a good deal?
