by greggs11 on Fri Jul 20 17:24:43 PDT 2007
Hello Car_Man, I'm looking at a lease on a 300 SRT Design in Scottsdale Arizona. Residual 49% and money factor .00253. The MSRP is $41,330 and purchase price of $34,330. The dealer is offering a lease through Chrysler Financial...39 months, 12,000 miles, $3000 down (inludes $1200 buy down and $1800 in first payment, plates, acquisistion fee, etc)...payment $475 + AZ tax = $512...is this a decent deal? Will my $512 buy me more car somewhere else? (BMW, infinit, etc.) Thanks so much for your help!
2004 Crossfire Coupe @ $10k Off in Tucson,AZ
by crusher on Fri Jun 17 02:24:13 PDT 2005
I decided to purchase a new 2004 Crossfire Coupe for $24k, based on the positive experiences of current owners, great salesperson/dealership and unbiased positive comments. I was able to keep the Crossfire for two days of test driving and really enjoyed it. I only wished for a little more low end torque, but otherwise this vehicle is perfect for me. What's odd..... I never had the Crossfire on my radar during the past 18 months of researching next vehicle purchase. Maybe because, I never seriously considered buying a Chrysler until I actually drove the Crossfire. I liked the 300c, but too big a sedan for me. Bottomline, pound for pound the Crossfire at this price is a great value. BTW, Steve Christy Chrysler in Tucson still has one left at this clearance price(Shadow Gray, 6 Spd, loaded). __________________ Crusher
2005 Town & Country Signature Series
by jcannon on Sun Dec 05 17:45:18 PST 2004
On 12/4/2005 I purchased an '05 T&C "Signature Series" in AZ. The van stickered for $32,750 and I closed the deal for $24,744 with the General Manager. (I had No Trade-In and NO Down Payment) Chrysler had $1,500 cash back, $1,500 Chrysler financing, and $500 Christmas Cash. The balance of the difference was all negotiated over 4 days starting with e-mails to several dealerships in Tucson, Phoenix, and Sierra Vista, Arizona. The Signature Series (in my opinion) is very comparable to the Limited, which stickers for over $36,000. The Signature package has two-tone leather heated power seats, Power Moonroof, 6-Disc CD, DVD, Navigation System, Power Dual Sliding Doors and Power Lift Tailgate, Adjustable gas and brake pedals, and 3-Zone HVAC. Check out the signature series before considering the Limited!

My 1999 RX330 came with Integritys. They ride softly and quietly, have good tread life, and are cheap to replace. Downside: I hit a curb at low speed and the tire blew out the sidewall. So I'm not impressed with their toughness.

I wasn't aware that salesmen EVER did their homework. Very few salesmen have an enthusiast's interest in cars, from my experience. To them, cars are just "units" to be moved. I suppose there are exceptions, but in 45 years of buying new cars I've never seen a salesman who knew as much as I did, with the possible exception of a BMW salesman who took me on a 100 MPH test ride on a crowded urban freeway!

I looked at a Pacifica right after they first came out, and one of the rear sil plates had popped off. I tried to put it back on, but couldn't. Must be a design or production problem. Needless to say, that didn't enhance my perception of the quality of the car. I'm not sure it had ever been driven at all.
