Re: Traverse AWD LT2 Lease Numbers [Car_man]

Car Man: I'm in New York and looking to lease the 2010 Traverse FWD LT2 or LTZ. What can you tell me about the November rates from USBank (that's the one that does it in NY in GMAC's place, right?) for the interest rate and residuals on both the 39 months/12K miles/yr and 39 months/15K miles/yr? If possible, can you tell me if they differ b/t the FWD and AWD models? Since it seems that NY is different from other states, would also love to get info on what sort of fees USBank charges in NY and what incentives are available. Much appreciated in advance.

answers to your Questions: I just had a quote and was wondering if this is a good price. I don't think so see my prior posts for what I paid. Also, what is estimated motor vehicle expense? Not sure in NJ Also, does the rebate go on after the tax? In NY Rebate is taxed. ">link title <a href="http://www.automotive.com/2009/12/chevrolet/traverse/recalls/index.html Three recalls on this POS! Bought August 2009 a late 09 model with 39 miles on my and feel the same shifting stumbles as noted on many sites ( Google chevrolet traverse transmission problem) and you will see many. some articles since October 2008 so Chevy hasn't had enoght time to work out kinks. owned GM cars for 25 years and lost a lot of $$$ on GM stock but after car shopping I can see why GM went bankrupt, salesman nothing but lies, deception, scams, arrogants, etc. I hate the tranny stumble! Also I had a 1996 pontiac before this and if interior light left on in 5 minutes it would automatically turn off to save battery. my little one left the interior light on and 3 hours later i noticed it was still on. How can a 2009 year vehicle leave the lights on? I guess i'll be going through batteries. like the ride and roomy interior but have lots of doubts. I also read on Edmunds the oli filter is very hard to change because its too close to radiator and there's no plastic shield under the oil filter so the oil spills all over the engine/underside when filter removed, terrible design. NOW I know why GM went Bankrupt. Chevy Traverse a pretty decent crossover SUV

Many papers in the Southern Ohio area have the Base 22000 malibu advertised for 16000. Search NY or new york on the Sonata forum and there are several dealers there selling the base Gls 4cyl auto (20500msrp) for the 15000's.(a used 07 has a trade in value of about 10000 so the 15k's is about where you want a new one). Don't worry about the mileage. You want 7k+ off a malibu, more for the higher models if at all. The Titanic's keel is out of the water, the props spinning , and the UAW wants to wait to "2010" to man the pumps. (with their ever present "stewards" in blue shirts and golf carts (paid for by the company of course) to slow the work down so as not to "overtax" the worker.) Democrats will feed the UAW your tax money for a year or so, along with their pension fund. (with the union dues going partly to the democratic party) and the vessel will hit bottom (no business model for consumer autos involving the UAW in any way can stand up straight) Unlike the banks who can repay their loans from the FED, the auto money will be a gift. Ah blue state politics. Good luck --jjf

Re: 2007 Tahoe Lease [Car_man]
by plutz1 on Wed Feb 15 19:26:12 PST 2006
I can confirm that at least some dealers are willing to lease the 2007 Tahoe at GMS pricing. I had a dealer offer at the following: 39 months, 15,000 miles a year,$715 a month, with all taxes (8.25% in NY) rolled in as well as a credit to me of $615 to cover an existing lease payment, which in effect would have almost offset my first payment and registration fees. In other words the only thing I wuld have to come out of pocket for is $200. The deal broke down when the dealer advised me after we agreed on the terms that it could not offer GMS pricing for a vehicle leased to a company, which I was going to do. Strangely enough, I had advised the dealer of this in my initial quote request a few weeks earlier that my lease would be a company lease. I registered a complaint with GM but GM refers its complaints back to its dealers so you know how far that went. In talking with a few other dealers my sense is that they are waiting for GM to start offering incentives on the vehicle. The 7.5% interest rate is killing them. I have 3 months left on my existing lease so I have time to wait. All in all this is a great vehicle and I will probably end up leasing it - I think with incentives this vehicle will really take off. I haven't purchase or leased an American car in 20 years but this one could bring me back.
Follow-up to pricing on '05 Malibu LS
by jjpnyc on Wed Oct 05 20:17:20 PDT 2005
Hi Clarence- In response to your claim that I'm lying, I beg to differ. Here's how the deal broke down: MSRP: $24,180 (base price of $21,265, $2,290 in options, & $625 destination charge) Negotiatied price: $20,249 GM Cash Back: $3,250 (check the recent 2005 northeast incentives on GMBuypower.com) Price before GM Card points: $16,999 GM Card Point: $1,831 (I have the "old" card that doesn't limit how much you can use) Final price: $15,168 Of course I'm not including tax & title as that varies by state so it's not fair to include it hear as it'll vary from place to place & out of our control. But everything else above was available through either incentives, GM Card point, or good old negotiation. What can I say, I'm a good negotiator. The dealer was eager to move the car off of his lot and was willing to do it at an attractive price to get it out of the way. So that is how I got my 2005 Malibu LS for just a shade above $15K. I'll take your apology when you are ready.
