09 Traverse LTZ AWD w.options in NH: by stormin800 on Thu Aug 13 21:11:21 PDT 2009; On July 15th, I traded my 07 YUKON SLT2 for a 09 Traverse LTZ AWD w/dual skyscape moonroof , trailer package, heavy duty cooling system, rear DVD,2nd row centerconsole and extra for Red Jewel Tincoat plus destination (775.). Sticker MSRP 46,635. straightforward price 44,546. GM rebate -2,250. GM card discount -1,000. gross sell 41,296. trade in allowance 28,421. Admin & Title fee 125. net due 13,000. There was no room to try to get the Traverse for less. My only room was in the trade in, but they offered me $1,500 more for the Yukon than was offered from Toyota,Acura,Audi and Ford. I could have gotton similar from GMC(Acadia) or Buick(Enclave), but I think the Traverse is the best looking of the Lambda platforms. I could have gotten the 2010, but there is no straightforward discount or GM rebates on the 2010. The Traverse has been great so far.

Re: Deal set up [chetj]: by chrylsersrt8 on Sat Jul 07 15:15:49 PDT 2007; gotta give you credit 6500 for the unit you got was about as good as it gets for a new car. granted 1. the cobalt/g5 has some advantages over the previous cav/sunfire 2. the cav/sunfire MSRP's were sooooooo unrealistic BUT your deal tops just about any one I have ever seen No tax in NH is always a plus Good shopping brother

Re: Deal set up [chrylsersrt8]: by chetj on Thu Jul 05 11:23:18 PDT 2007; hate to brag, but i will..i bought a brand new pontiac sunfire for $6500.00 in nov 2004 w/ 3k GM card earnings..original dealer price was $9500, brand new..it has automatic, ac and a spoiler...the msrp on this was 16,700...cobalt and sunfire both have the ecotec 2.2, a very peppy engine..so far i am very happy with it after 48,000 miles...a similar civic or corolla would be 15, 000 minimum...i think people who buy hondas or toys and overlook the domestics are making a mistake...i have a new focus i like a lot too..no taxes in NH

For me this is going to be a second car and will only be driven in good weather which is the northeast is pretty limited. I am trying to keep the cost down and it seems the base comes with quite a few options so I think that is the way I am going to go. I would be interested in the dealer name in NH in case I can't find one local to me that will do it. I do have a name of one in MI that I can use to do the order but perhaps NH would be better. I will be doing the museum delivery option so all they will have to do is write the order. Thanks again, Derek
