Buying a car from a Chevrolet Car Dealer
Roxanne, thanks for your post. Glad you didn't notice any of what I've described. What trim did you test drive? Was it AWD for FWD? If the dealer tries to mess with you and you have to walk away, besides trying another Chevy dealer, you could wait for the GMC Terrain in Sept. You could also look at the Nissan Rogue (the other vehicle we were seriously considering), or wait until around X-mas when the Kia Sportage (redesign for 2010 model) is set to be out - it looks like it'll be nice, though I haven't seen interior pictures. Everyone please keep posting your experiences in driving the new Equinox regarding the downshifting problems and jitteriness, especially the 4 cylinder. The input is appreciated.
Anyone purchase a new Silverado lately? It's pretty quiet in here.
The deal I posted is real. When I bought my 04 Tahoe, I went to the Tahoe forum and someone turned me on to this dealer (Quirk, Braintree, MA). I bought that vehicle for Invoice - holdback and probably will do the same for the Malibu I am looking for (this is before any GM cash back, GM Card offers, etc.). It's a savings of $1,000 compared to local dealers in norther NJ, and I have family in New England within 75 minutes of the dealership, so I can kill two birds with one stone. I just want to know if anyone is getting better than that in this market and if anyone knows what GM will do come Monday.
Was this brand new or was it a demonstrator? Wow, that is a phenomenal price, sort of makes me feel like we were raped. We paid $19,610 (MSRP $20,225) in Boston for the LS but we added after-market leather for an additional $1,300. Good luck with your ride. Nice car only positive comments from all who've seen the car. It's like a driving bill board for GM.
Looking for any incentives from GM. Researching 07 Tahoe LT-2 or LT-3 lease. Just started looking in MA. Any advice or direction would be helpful. Also, I am in a lease now with Jeep for another 6 months. Is that new GM lease buyout up to 2 grand worth it? Or should I buy out the jeep and work the trade to cut down on the sales tax??
