I received one of these direct mail certificates. Well, actually the certificate is in the name of a family member who formerly resided here. The certificate states that "this offer may be transferred only to individuals residing in the same household (same address) as the eligible recipient noted on this certicate (FL, TX, and CA residents must show proof of residency)...." The certificate further states that "This offer is not offered to the general public." Excludes: Aveo, Cobalt, Corvette Z06; Pontiac G5; Saturn ASTRA; hybrids; and medium-duty trucks. Oh, the certificate is valid 07/14/08 thru 09/15/08.
Good Lease numbers on 08 Impala SS lease?
by matt1203 on Sun May 18 08:49:09 PDT 2008
I was quoted $1000 down/$429 a month (including taxes) for a 48 month 12k mile/yr lease for an 08 Impala SS with a sticker of $31670. I am in Central Florida. I am eligible for $750 loyalty cash. Sales tax rate in my area of Fl. is 7.5% Good numbers? What are the Lease Rates and residual values? I have talked to a number of dealers in Central Florida and they are all coming in with similar numbers which to me, don't seem that fantastic. Basically, they are offering sticker less any incentives. The only other offer I got from a dealer was that he would waive all front and back end costs for the same numbers - to get my business from the dealer who made the offer above. Thoughts?

Thanks for your input. I've driven a few other cars and feel like the Malibu's interior door coverings are right up/down there with the Chrysler products. It was the very first thing I saw when I opened the door - I don't even like it on my husband's Tahoe. Maybe it's just me. I've also driven the Camry Solara and thought that the interior was nice. Sebring convertible had a beautiful exterior but horrible interior - plus the convertible top ate up most of the trunk space. Felt that the Ford Fusion was boring. The Volkswagon Eos was very nice - I know it's not in the same category but I'm torn between a convertible and a "regular" car. As far as pricing, I hate this part of the whole negotiating ordeal. So you say $26k is fair - I'll keep note of that. I still have to drive the Hyundai Sonata Ltd and that will end my test drives of the sedan vehicles.
Pricing of 08 LTZ
by katyhy on Thu May 08 08:51:30 PDT 2008
I just test drove the 08 LTZ this morning and the very first thing I noticed was the hard plastic interior which was a big turn off. Everything else was nice with the exception of not being able to purchase a NAV system. The salesperson said that they were running a "special" wherein you only pay the dealers' invoice. I'm in the Orlando, FL area and this is what they quoted to me: $27,505 - invoice (mine had the sunroof, rear power package which was basically a rear power outlet and a shade for the back window) - 1,000 - GM loyalty cash + 2,654 - tax, tag, title (wasn't trading in anything) $29,159 - out the door price What are your thoughts out there who have recently purchased the LTZ? I hate the whole dealership experience and would rather just cut to the chase with a fair bottom line offer.
