Re: Corvette Pricing in the Post-Employee For Everyone World... [kimohh]

Reality is that the Vette is one of the few cars that GM is still moving due to the buyers normally being somewhat financially secure, with money not being much of an object. Dealers in AZ are dealing in their usual form, but not giving away much other than alot of bull****! Probably the best you can hope for is a GM Employee discount if you can get someone to share with one with you - I bought my 07 at Les Daniels, and they honored it!! Good luck!

Almost the same thing happened to me. I should have looked it over, but on my contract they added an extra grand for accessories that I never recieved. Also had problems with my trade in and they tried to change the trade in allowance. What a horrible business. I am sad that I ever went there. They try to use intimidation so much than they try to add unknown things on the financing. The finance guy didn't even go over the interest rate with me on the final review, what kind of shady business is this. Please never go to Thorobred Chevrolet. Horrible experience.

Hey kinneyrhs: I don't know about the Aura, but if you want the V6 on the Malibu, you won't be able to get it on the base model. It's only available on the LT2 with the engine package option or is standard on the top of the line LTZ. I have an LT2 with the engine package and am really pleased with it. I drive pretty hard with a lot of city driving and am averaging better than 21 MPG with the air conditioner running (I live in the Phoenix, Az. area). The sticker price on my car was around $25,000 with the engine package option.

Looks like I will by buying my next Tahoe in California. Buy a new Tahoe for $27-28K, immediately trade it in to the dealer for KBB trade in value of $29,750 ($30,500 with 3rd seat). I pocket about $3K in one day. BTW, GM's website shows the third seat as standard equipment for a Suburban, so I think KBB and NADA assume that the third seat is actually in the vehicle when you trade it in - so no mention of a "missing" third seat in the pricing model.

You can sell or trade in a Tahoe/Suburban without the third seat - no problem - you just get less for the trade in - that has been my experience - and what every dealer has told me. I have always received Black Book trade in values, so I think it is accurate. Here is where the -$1000 comes from in Black Book trade in values: VIN: Click to Change VIN Year: Make: Model: Series: Style: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4D Utility State: Miles: Click to Change Mileage Add/Deducts: 4800 V8 -$550 w/o 3rd Seat -$1,000
