I had a fabulous experience with Team Superstores. I recently had a discharged bankruptcy 10 months earlier but received a pre-approval from Capital One for up to $30K exclusively from this dealer. After registering with Capital One, I made an appointment with Daniel, a sales associate. I went to their website and printed 5 vehicle descriptions that were in my price range. Since it was on a Sunday, one of the vehicles had already been sold. But my first choice, a used 2013 Scion TC for $21K, was available. I also test drove a used 2012 Hyundai Veloster for $18K. I was impressed by the Hyundai but Daniel also suggested I go with a new Veloster due to better interest rates and incentives. Daniel had been with the dealership only for a week so he enlisted the help of the lead associate, Rocco. We test drove the new Hyundai but I realized I still preferred the '13 Scion due to the better power. My wife liked the Veloster and I told Daniel I could "live with the Hyundai since it was cheaper." But he said something very poignant - if you're not completely satisfied now, it will only get worse later. He was right. So I went with the Scion. Not only did they lower the internet price, they found me an interest rate below 10%. My treatment was excellent. I did have to wait about an hour for the paperwork to be prepared but the finance department had me in and out of signing documents in less than 10 minutes. I had prepared myself with proper discharge documents, paystubs and mortgage statements. My wife and I also had our driver's licenses and proof of insurance readily available. The dealership thanked me for being prepared and my expectations were far exceeded, especially since I knew I had challenged credit. I told them I wanted little to no down payment and a monthly payment around $400. Team Superstores met my terms. I knew I had to include tax and license on top of the quoted price so I didn't insist on them "eating the fees." This dealer was willing to help me with my situation. We went in humble and courteous and Team Superstores dealt with us with respect. We expected the worst but instead got the best.
