I took my 2008 G35 to this dealer for the 1,000 and 5,000 mile services. Last week, we decided to drive to Death Valley for a few days. My habit is to always double check fluids, tires, etc., before we go on a road trip. You can understand how important this is when you go to a place like Death Valley. There are no services and no bars on your cell phone. The car had 6,000 miles before we left. When I checked the oil, it was TWO QUARTS low!! How does a brand new car use two quarts of oil in 1,000 miles?? Unless only three quarts were added at the 5,000 miles service. How could a mechanic put three quarts in a vehicle that requires five quarts unless he/she had no idea what they were doing?? The DOT label clearly specifies 33 PSI all around. When I checked tire pressures, every tire was between 45 PSI and 50 PSI. I left the car in the garage for 24 hours to make sure I was measuring cold conditions. How could a mechanic put 45 PSI + in four tires that required 33 PSI unless he/she had no idea what they were doing?? The G was very comfortable for travel. It goes around curves like it is on rails. On deserted desert straight aways it gets to 90 MPH before you even notice. But the incompetence of the dealer and the indifference of the Infiniti organization makes me wish I had my Lexus back. In any event, I am done with this dealer and if anyone made me an interesting offer on this car, I would be back at the Lexus dealer in a flash.
