READ REVIEW OF VOLKSWAGEN OF SANTA MONICA DEALERSHIP SALES

Here is my complaint I filed with BBB
November of 2007 I purchased a 2003 Honda S2000 (VIN# JHMAP11463T000223) from VW Santa Monica (VW-SM) for $16995. I recently found out through an appraisal that the vehicle has frame damage on the front end. In the little time that I owned the vehicle I only put 6000 miles on the car and was never in any accidents so this damage was not from me. I recently sold the car back to VW-SM for $11500, which is a huge loss considering that CARMAX just appraised my car for $14000 if it did not have any frame damge. I would like to report that this vehicle is being resold by VW-SM for $15995 as a clean car without disclosing the frame damage to the next potential buyer. Also the dealer is claiming that there is no frame damage on the vehicle since there were no accidents reported on the Autocheck report provided. But the frame is clearly damaged once you take a closer inspection. Which leads me to believe that VW-SM does not inspect their used vehicles thoroughly enough and allows damaged vehicles to be sold on their lots.
Response from VW Santa Monica
After further investigation to Mr. abcd allegations this dealership catagorically denies ever knowingly selling a frame damaged car. At the time of sale to Mr. abcd a CAR FAX was acquired and an inspection of the vehicle (as all vehicles sold by this company are)determined that the vehicle was not damaged in any way and absolutly not frame damaged. "Mr. abdc was told that the car did have frame damage at the time we sold it to him" and we offered to buy the car from him and he agreed to the selling price. After Mr. abcd made a report to your agency VOLKSWAGEN SANTA MONICA had another full inspection of said vehicle done by RICK CUESTA service director emphisizing any and all damage to the structure of said vehicle. Mr. Cuesta has informed me that he personally inspected the vehcile and could catagorically guarantee that siad vehicle does not have frame damage. Any further questions please feel free to contact me at xxx-xxx-xxxx. Respectfully, James Camuso, Sales Manager
Initial Response Summary
The car was inspected and no frame damage was detected
My response
Quote 1- "Mr. abcd was told that the car did have frame damage at the time we sold it to him" Quote 2- "Mr. Cuesta has informed me that he personally inspected the vehcile and could catagorically guarantee that siad vehicle does not have frame damage." These two quotes provided by James Camuso are contradicting. The VW response states no frame damage but yet Quote 1 states that I was informed of the frame damage at the sale, which #1 I was not given any such information (I would have not purchased the vehicle with that information and the contract or any of the paperwork does not state that this information was disclosed to me) and quote #2 claims the vehicle does not have any frame damage. I have pictures of the frame damage and also the appraisal report that specifies the frame damage.
Response from VW Santa Monica
At no time did anyone here at our dealership tell Mr. abcd that said vehicle had frame damage. Mr. abcd has not presented any paper work indicating frame damage to the vehicle. Again, my certified service manager assures me taht said vehicle DOES NOT have frame damage.
Email was sent to VW Santa Monice with pictures of the frame damage, appraisal report and CARFAX report stating "Damage Reported" prior to my purchase date. It has been months and still no response from the dealership regarding this issue. Also I was told from dealership over the phone "I never said the car was never in an accident".
